Terri's Freepers,
Judge George Greer denied Terri's parents' Motion for a Stay to protect their daughter's life while there are still pending issues in this LIFE AND DEATH MATTER. In addition the Department of Children and Family Services made a surprise visit to the court hearing the other day and asked Judge Greer if they could approach the bench. Judge Greer denied DCF the opportunity to speak. DCF asked for 60 days to conduct a complete investigation of allegations that have surfaced in the form of a Complaint to their agency.
What was set in motion instead? On Friday, February 25th, Judge Greer REFUSED TO issue another Stay because he was "not comfortable" issuing a say to protect a Ward of the State but instead "set a date certain" (on his calendar at least, not on mine) to BEGIN THE BARBARIC, ANTI-AMERICAN, STARVATION-DEHYDRATION SLOW MURDER OF TERRI.
Attorney Gibbs for Terri's parents held a press conference after J. Greer's order that was so tastefully written to indicate that "he was giving the Schindlers until March 18th so they could "prepare for Last Rites." Attorneys Gibbs called this ruling and prior rulings "Hitler-resque". Indeed.
If Judge Greer wasn't LEGALIZING EUTHANASIA in his courtroom, why any need for Last Rites? Greer's urgency to fulfill this killing places urgency on every one of us to lobby Governor Bush, Florida's House and Florida's Senate.
A Judge in America is ordering the manner of someone's death, a disabled woman who is healthy but needs rehabilitation.
Time is short so we don't really have time to get into Greer's mind to see why he is Florida's Til of the Hun.
What can we do?
1. LOBBY TO SAVE TERRI
2. HELP BUMP THIS THREAD.
3. POST ARTICLES YOU SEE ABOUT TERRI.
4. VISIT PINELLAS COUNTY FLORIDA AND VIGIL WITH US AT HOSPICE WOODSIDE.
5. VISIT TALLAHASSEE AND LOBBY IN THE HALLS OF THE LEGISLATURE.
6. HOLD A DEMONSTRATION AT THE GOVERNOR'S MANSION.
7. Join the Message Board that freepers started at the Crystal Cathedral/Hour of Power. TELL YOUR CHURCH ABOUT TERRI.
8. Tell your friends that Terri is alert and aware of her surroundings and to visit www.terrisfight.org to see her videos.
9. PETITIONS. We will gather current Petitions here for you. At this time, you can sign a SAVE TERRI PETITION AT www.renewamerica.us. THERE ARE ALSO IMPEACH GREER PETITIONS ABOUT.
Finally, the Pope has no Living Will. He will be SAFE as long as he stays away from George Greer's courtroom. The Pope is in our thoughts and prayers and he knows of Terri. He wants Terri to be freed from oppression and from a painless death by starvation-dehyration.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO EVERY DAY, THE PAY ISN'T VERY GOOD BUT THE FRINGE BENEFITS ARE THE GREATEST. You are Great Americans and liberty is Terri's and freedom from oppression. Freepers, that is the big payoff if we continue our daunting task.
Terri's family is grateful to you and all of your prayers are being heard by the Giver of Life.
This is Terri's Fight and the battle is enjoined. JOIN US TO SAVE TERRI FROM FORCES THAT HAVE BUT ONE GOAL THAT IS AGAINST EVERYTHING AMERICAN.
GUIDELINES: If you want to start frivolous discussions, please start your own thread in chat.
If you like something from www.theempirejournal.com, please do not post the entire article at Free Republic. Unless I hear otherwise, I believe that we are allowed to post the title and link. TEJ is a great team member of Terri's network. Thanks, TEJ for making a difference and for getting the truth out there.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR CONTACT INFO, IT IS ON THE WAY. Thanks, floriduh voter
I'm hoping Terri is saved, then get the legislatures to pass the new law being introduced in the US House of Representatives. So this cannot happen again.
How many other Judge Greers are out there?
BUMP!
"I suddenly realized while reading the 28news.com report the import of Greer's reference about privacy.
> He also said there were no longer any privacy concerns relating to Terri Schiavo in the widely publicized case.
Greer's statement overrules HINO's position about Terri's privacy. He's now (perhaps unwittingly) demolished the claim. May news reporters begin making reasonable hospice (Terri) visits!!"
This sounds like a vary good point, you raised.
RE: 1703---thanks, glad you like it
There are probably countless Judge Greers and Terris out there, who sadly, don't have a loving family to fight for them.
True. But by fighting for Terri...we're fighting for all the rest, too.
Did you catch this post on another thread--

FOLLOW THE SQUEEZED BICEPS: [Rod Dreher] An orthodox priest and Corner devotee writes this morning to say St. Petersburg Bishop Robert Lynch's case is more significant than many reporters may realize. If Lynch really is a homosexual and a sexual harrasser, as has been claimed, it casts suspicion on his years as General Secretary of the national Catholic bishops' conference, where he was a favorite of the late Cardinal Bernardin. Moreover, after Bishop Symons of Palm Beach resigned after admitting to pederasty, Bishop Lynch took over that diocese as administrator, and helped pick Symons' successor, Bishop Anthony O'Connell -- who just resigned after admitting to homosexual abuse of seminarians. Can you say "lavender mafia"? Hey reporters, follow that trail of Lynch-squeezed biceps!
~~~
OF BICEPS AND BISHOPS: [Rod Dreher] Here's the very latest on Bishop Lynch's fine mess down in Florida. In this morning's Tampa Tribune, he says his press secretary's claim of constant sexual harrassment was one big misunderstanding. "Do I wish I didn't feel his biceps? Yes," says the bishop, ungrammatically. The alleged victim, a married man who received a $100,000 "severance" package from the diocese, says he struggled for years over whether or not he should tell anyone what His Excellency was up to. "I thought: Who would believe me? He's the bishop." Next time Florida reporters confront the Bish, they should ask him, "We know you were celibate, but have you also been chaste?" No theological weasel words!
Thank You for telling me the name of the man that trumped Felos!
Just rec'd this from Fight4Terri@aol.com
The court hearing which was orginally scheduled TODAY at 1:00 PM, has been rescheduled by Judge Greer to 3:00 PM.
Please adjust prayers accordingly :-)
And whose death are you taking responsibility for today?
Can we prosecute you for it?
Are you willing to be prosecuted for wrongful death?
Cuts both ways hunble.
How long until a colostomy bag is viewed as being equatible to a ventilator, or a wheelchair being viewed the same way?
How about prosthetic appendages?
Or a pacemaker?
Be careful who you wish death upon, it may visit one of your own sooner than you would wish.
excellent article!!
Someone is, indeed, watching ALL things and knows ALL things. Perhaps I will feel pity for Greer come that day that God reminds him of just what's he's done and allowed to be done to Terri, but I have not pity in my heart at this moment; I only pity Terri and the cruelty she has had to endure because of Michael's hands and deeds and Greer's words and unrighteous rulings.
It gives him a chance to get out of this case...be interesting to see if he takes it.
Well. This certainly would explain his lukewarm heart. Apparently his love of God has grown cold and so has his belief if this is true.
Greta's time with the Schindlers was so short I thought they filmed it with a polariod camera. Greta did mention it was Mary Schindler B-day and wished her a Happy B-day.
How many other Judge Greers are out there?
As the Bible says, they are "legion." Wherever one in a judicial position believes that he is "God," there is a clone of George W. "Haman" Greer. Greer actually CLAIMS that he is a "conservative" and is merely "doing what the law requires." He may be mentally deranged.
Religious groups take a leading role in Schiavo right-to-die case
PINELLAS PARK, Fla.- When the Rev. Ed Martin decided to take to the streets to demonstrate on behalf of saving a brain-damaged Terri Schiavo, he picked up a sign he usually carries when he protests outside abortion clinics.
He said the message _ "Life, the first inalienable right" _ was just right.
Christian conservatives opposed to abortion have taken a leading role in the right-to-die dispute, saying they see identical moral issues at stake.
During the past few years they have injected themselves into the fray with enthusiasm that intensifies each time a new date for removing Schiavo's feeding tube nears. They are backing Schiavo's parents, who are fighting to keep her alive.
"We believe life begins at conception and ends at natural death," said the 59-year-old Martin, a Protestant minister who has found himself demonstrating next to disability-rights activists. "God gives life, and God only can take life."
Religious activists show up at court hearings and demonstrate outside the Pinellas Park hospice where Schiavo lives. Religious organizations such as the Catholic Medical Association regularly speak out for her and deluge Gov. Jeb Bush and lawmakers with thousands of e-mails and phone calls.
Randall Terry, founder of the anti-abortion group Operation Rescue, coordinates many of the protests and has become a spokesman for Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, who say they are grateful. The Vatican also has weighed in, saying last week that Schiavo should be kept alive.
The family's attorneys _ who are being paid by anti-abortion group Life Legal Defense Foundation _ filed another flurry of legal motions this week trying to again block the removal of Schiavo's feeding tube, now set for March 18.
"It's two sides of the same coin _ the fundamental right to life, which has already been taken away from unborn children by a judicial process, and now, right-to-life of a handicapped adult is facing the same threat," said the Rev. Thomas Euteneuer, a Roman Catholic priest who heads the Virginia-based anti-abortion group Human Life International and demonstrated in front of the hospice last week.
The Schindlers have been fighting their son-in-law in court for almost seven years over their daughter. Michael Schiavo wants to pull the tube and let his 41-year-old wife die, saying she told him she would never want to be kept alive artificially. Her parents dispute that and say she could improve with therapy.
Schiavo has been in what the court has ruled is a persistent vegetative state since her heart stopped temporarily in 1990 because of what doctors believe was a chemical imbalance brought on by an eating disorder. She can breathe on her own but gets food and water through a tube in her abdomen.
Her parents vehemently dispute that she is without consciousness, as some doctors have testified. Her eyes are open, she makes sounds, and her family believes she communicates with them.
Jana Carpenter, a nurse and a Catholic who belongs to a local anti-abortion group, has become a familiar sight at Schiavo court hearings and demonstrations since 2000.
"If you believe in God, you don't believe in knocking off people like Terri Schiavo," she said.
Howard Simon, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida, laments the influence that religious groups have wielded.
After strong lobbying from religious groups in 2003, the governor pushed a law through the Legislature authorizing him to reinsert Schiavo's feeding tube, which had been removed on orders from a judge. The law was later ruled unconstitutional.
"The concern I have is on their influence in shaping public policy," Simon said. "We've already seen that in the influence they have on the governor."
For Euteneuer and others, Schiavo has become a powerful figure.
"With the unborn children, you can't see the victim," the priest said. "Euthanasia now has a face. We're fighting for the same right to life for Terri as for the unborn."
