Judge George Greer denied Terri's parents' Motion for a Stay to protect their daughter's life while there are still pending issues in this LIFE AND DEATH MATTER. In addition the Department of Children and Family Services made a surprise visit to the court hearing the other day and asked Judge Greer if they could approach the bench. Judge Greer denied DCF the opportunity to speak. DCF asked for 60 days to conduct a complete investigation of allegations that have surfaced in the form of a Complaint to their agency.

What was set in motion instead? On Friday, February 25th, Judge Greer REFUSED TO issue another Stay because he was "not comfortable" issuing a say to protect a Ward of the State but instead "set a date certain" (on his calendar at least, not on mine) to BEGIN THE BARBARIC, ANTI-AMERICAN, STARVATION-DEHYDRATION SLOW MURDER OF TERRI.

Attorney Gibbs for Terri's parents held a press conference after J. Greer's order that was so tastefully written to indicate that "he was giving the Schindlers until March 18th so they could "prepare for Last Rites." Attorneys Gibbs called this ruling and prior rulings "Hitler-resque". Indeed.

If Judge Greer wasn't LEGALIZING EUTHANASIA in his courtroom, why any need for Last Rites? Greer's urgency to fulfill this killing places urgency on every one of us to lobby Governor Bush, Florida's House and Florida's Senate.

A Judge in America is ordering the manner of someone's death, a disabled woman who is healthy but needs rehabilitation.

Time is short so we don't really have time to get into Greer's mind to see why he is Florida's Til of the Hun.

Finally, the Pope has no Living Will. He will be SAFE as long as he stays away from George Greer's courtroom. The Pope is in our thoughts and prayers and he knows of Terri. He wants Terri to be freed from oppression and from a painless death by starvation-dehyration.

You have given greater and more clarity to the issues being raised by the Terri Shiavo case as can be made. If someone were to write a book, you have addressed the subject matter of each chapter.

I am wondering if the tenure of Janet Reno which started in 1978 and ran for five terms, may have set the stage for this blatant push for the legalization of euthanasia in Florida. I am wondering if Greer is one of the point men in this movement. Could Greer and a handful of justices set up by Reno, could be holdovers to insure that her agenda be carried out.

We should note that Reno back in 1997 enabled the State of Oregon's doctor assisted suicide law to go through without interference from the Drug Enforcement Agency which prohibited the use of a controlled substance be used to kill patients. When John Ashcroft became U.S. Attorney General, he sought to reverse Oregon's law and this brought a federal court challenge. The case is now before the U.S. Supreme Court. The case is Gonzales v Oregon. It will be decided before July though no date has been set for oral argument.

Which now brings my focus back again to Janet Reno. What kind of mischief did she accomplish while she was Attorney General in Florida? There is nothing I could find regarding this subject through a google search.

HB701 "declares that an incompetent person is presumed to have directed health care providers to provide the necessary nutrition and hydration to sustain life; prohibits a court, proxy, or surrogate from withholding or withdrawing nutrition or hydration except under specified circumstances; provides that the presumption to provide nutrition and hydration is inapplicable under certain circumstances; conforms provisions to changes made by the act; declares that the act supersedes existing court orders otherwise applicable on or after the effective date of the act."

Schiavo's brother pleads for right to life

A week after a Florida judge ruled that Terri Schiavo's feeding tube could be removed, her brother said that allowing her to die would put the United States on the path to Holocaust-style cruelties.

"What is the difference between what happened 60 years ago and what's happening today?" Bobby Schindler asked Wednesday before a crowd in McCosh 10. "What can possibly be crueler than allowing someone to endure a long and painful death because society doesn't want to pay for them or thinks they have no quality of life? As soon as we establish a criteria for starving people to death, we are establishing a second class of people."

Schindler called the conflict "a cultural battle between life and death" that affects the rights of the elderly and the disabled.

Schiavo, a 41-year-old Florida woman, is at the center of a raging debate over euthanasia. After suffering severe brain damage when her heart stopped in 1990, she now breathes normally but can only receive food and drink through a feeding tube in her stomach.

Her husband Michael and some doctors say that Schiavo is in what is called a permanent vegetative state (PVS) — a legal justification for ending life in the state of Florida — but her family disagrees.

Schindler said Wednesday that some doctors are "adamant that Terri is nowhere close to PVS" and called the criteria "so subjective you can almost describe anyone who is unable to communicate as in PVS."

Even if Schiavo were in PVS, Schindler added, "Why does it matter?" saying that all his family wants is to bring her to their home and take care of her.

A judge ruled last week that Schiavo is in PVS and that Michael, as her legal guardian, can remove the tube on March 18. Schindler called on Florida Governor Jeb Bush to intervene in the case for the second time to save Schiavo's life.

The situation is complicated by facts in dispute. Schiavo's husband has said she had told him she would not want to be kept alive.

Schindler said his sister, a lifelong Catholic, would not wish to die. They also claim that Michael has other motives.

"Michael suddenly remembered [in 1998] that Terri — in her early 20s — that she allegedly made a living will," Schindler said.

He also noted that Michael has been cohabitating with another woman for the past 10 years and has two children with her.

Michael also stands to inherit Schiavo's trust fund. Schiavo was awarded more than a million dollars in a 1992 medical malpractice suit.

Schindler said Michael testified at that trial that he wanted to spend the rest of his life caring for his wife.

Instead, Schindler said, Michael has neglected her, denying her sunlight, dental care and speech therapy, which she hasn't had since 1992.

"A lot of doctors are amazed at how well she is doing considering she hasn't had rehabilitation in 13 years," Schindler said.

Schindler also blamed bad judges, the media and changing cultural values for Schiavo's situation.

Claiming that groups such as the insurance industry have promoted euthanasia behind the scenes, Schindler also singled out University bioethics professor Peter Singer.

Singer, who supports voluntary euthanasia, said in an email prior to the talk that "the problem with this case is that the facts are contested, and I have no expertise about that."

Schindler opened his talk with a video of Terri's childhood and their court battle set to music by John Denver and the Beatles — some of Terri's favorites.

He ended by quoting the biblical story of the Good Samaritan.

Before Schindler spoke, Chris Tollefson, a visiting fellow at the James Madison Program, said, "Abortion and euthanasia are linked in principle, and both are deeply wrong."

I heard John Wilson's opinion on T.V. against Terri. I hardly ever listen to his opinion any more because of it. I didn't realize his opinion had changed. I've listened to Kathy Fountion too. Although I've never heard her say exactly what her position is, many of her guests are anti-Terri.
People need to remember that they could be the next Terri.

Perhaps what is behind the Florida State legislature's apathy in Terri's case, is the realization that once this killing is made legal, then the path to eliminating the high cost of Medicaid is clearly evident, just kill all the real old and infirm.

Watch out if you trip, fall and hit your head on the pavement. Hopefully you're not going to be unconscious, because they may start harvesting your organs before anybody could stop them.

I'd be scared silly if I were handicapped/old/or infirm in some way. If for some reason you lost consciousness for any reason, you might be given the ole "exit treatment".

It's a sad day in America when the Culture of Death can win battle after battle and so many of us are not even in the fight.

I believe the original post that the Schindlers were due on Greta last night(Wed.) was in error. They ARE due this week, but my information was that it was Thurs. or Fri. night.

The confusion came from a soundbite of Greta promoting a couple of upcoming shows, which FNC ran off-and-on all day yesterday(Wed.). The Schindlers, and some celebrity -forget who- were mentioned. Problem is, the promo ran Wed. but Greta never said the Schindlers were to be on Wed. night. She was talking about Thurs. and Fri. shows, but it all runs by so fast, people get confused. Even now, I can't nail down if they will be on tonight(Thurs.) or Fri. night. Terri FReeper DJ MacWoW posted that it is tonight(Thurs.). I thought it was Fri., but am not certain.

But the Schindlers were NOT bumped from Wed. night, from all I know of this.
