Truely great rally and street event! =

I have read online that the Hollywood flying airplane message orbitting over the oscars said: "Arnold: Lousy actors make the Worst Calif. governors !" paid by the Calif. Nurses Association"
I guess they convieniently forgot about a upstart Calif. actor that didn't amount to "much" named, Ronald Reagan.

This nurses union is one of the biggest lobbyists in Sacramento. They don't like the fact that the Gov. is cutting some of their "pork fat" nurse laws passed by Gray Davis.
They are a huge special interest. They recently got publicly angry and held a press conference, when the Gov. said that their union and others who want to protect their pork fat laws from his red pen, he called them "girly" people. However, a smart press member found that the same angry nurse union officials used even worse uncomplimentary "invectives" towards the Gov. during the recall election only a year ago. Nurse union hypocracy ??!??

First of all Arnold is no RR and will never be! He signed the .50 cal ban and is against repealing the Assault weapons ban.

He didn't camapign for or endorse many good Republican candidates for fear of upsetting the DemonRat incumbents and now the Dems are ramming his budget back down his throat.

While I don't support unions, as a Respiratory Therapist, I deal with unsafe staffing levels every day. People who are paying for medical care are not getting the level of service they are paying for.

We may not agree on everything Mr. Arnold does, but that wasn't the point. The point was that the aircraft overhead at the freep was unlikely piloted by conservatives. And that there was an actor (Ronald Reagan) of some political clout. No where did it say they were equal or one in the same. This wasn't a "Who Hates ARnie" thread. I detest those. People who come together for important issues tend to throw rocks at each other in those Arnie threads. The fact is, the attackee is NRA, worked every campaign since Nixon, hunts, shoots, and voted accordingly. This thread is a celebration of a successful freep in which you and your correspondent were both a part of. Put 'cher sword away.

As for the staffing problems, as a nursing registry administrator, I can attest that nurses, paid $28-$40 per HOUR do not have to work full time. So they don't (don't go there, I have had as many as 250 nurses working for me). Most nurses I know don't work even CLOSE to a 40 hour week. Why should they? This causes a staffing shortage. And drives the wage up higher-at least in home health. We have to bribe them. Add the cost of reputable malpractice insurance for the doctors and the hospital, lawsuits, etc., well it doesn't help. There doesn't appear to be an easy solution, but from what I've seen, the nurses union does not seem to help the situation.

I listen to Rush (have been for 15 years) in the car while traveling with my husband, so the PJ requirement will be difficult. . difficult, but not impossible . . . I have always resented having to dress in street clothes . . now if I can just cite a court order, I can be comfortable at all times. Will the "world's biggest sleep shirt" be okay instead of the PJ's? (Fred's has some neat cotton ones for 8 bucks.)
