Update/correction:
According to most recent article in Korean text, the helo is from 1st Battalion, 2nd Aviation Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, which is based at Chunchun. The English article above may have inaccurate info.
The incident occurred around 11:30am, 02/26/2005.

Was that as in "Chuncheon" (how the place-name is romanized these days)? i.e. in Gangwon-do ? You know, 'north of Paju City' would put it pretty close to the DMZ. Near the Imjin River? Sad to hear the story.

You can now expect large Korean protests condemning the evil Americans to occur in front of Yongsan Garrison, Seoul.
Having spent the last three years over in South Korea, I've seen that the Koreans blame America for EVERYTHING.
Heck, it's even written into their traffic laws.
(If a foreigner [read American] gets into a taxi and the taxi is hit in traffic, the foreigner is at fault. And this isn't a joke.)
