> Canada, which this week refused to join a U.S. missile system designed to protect North America, nevertheless insisted on Friday that Washington must consult it before firing rockets into Canadian airspace.
"This is our space, our airspace. We're a sovereign nation and you don't intrude on a sovereign nation's airspace without seeking permission," Prime Minister Paul Martin told reporters. <
So, we have to ask permission to shoot down a warhead headed our way? Right, we'll get on that, Mr. we-spend-less-than-half-of-the-NATO-average-on-defense.
Also in the article was a quote by the Conservative Party of Canada:
> The opposition Conservatives mocked Martin's comments, saying they were totally unrealistic.
"This is delusional. There are only minutes available for a decision. How can the prime minister realistically believe the U.S. will consult him before firing their interceptor missiles?" party defense spokesman Gordon O'Connor asked Parliament. <
Once again, it seems as if conservatives have a monopoly on common sense. Glad to know that intelligent conservativism transcends national borders.
Oops. Sorry. Forgot to ask permission. Oh well, perhaps next time.
"Hello Martin, the bad news is there are twenty Chinese missles heading for North America and we can intercept all but two of them.
The good news is the jet stream is blowing the wind to the northeast and you elected to receive those nukes last year when you opted out of the missile shield.
Oh, and Mr. Fox says muchos gracias as well."

Yeah, sure, whatever, you hoser.
Thank you, Mr. Martin, for a good laugh at your expense.
I think we should just take their oil and see if they fight back.
Just what I was thinking. We'll promise not to shoot any labeled 'Canada!' That should make them happy.
"Canada Says U.S. Must Consult Before Missile Launch"what is this!Canada do need America help now Canada want be France this is total stupid Thank you Information ping
"Else what, the mighty Canadian military will invade us!"
The Salvation Army can kick the Canadian army's ass!
Cartman's mom is not going to like this!
"This is our space, our airspace. We're a sovereign nation and you don't intrude on a sovereign nation's airspace without seeking permission," Prime Minister Paul Martin told reporters.
That's because you have nothing available to intrude on someone else's air space.
Or what?
"Thank you for the call. We'll call back when we've consulted both sides of the issue for seven years."
What has Bush said about not asking anyone's permission to defend the United States?
You big cannuck sissys, your almost as p*ss as the frogie-frenchies,,, come to think of it your 1/2 froggies your selfs,,,aye?
What if we lose their phone number? ;)
The only "airspace" Canada can protect is the space located between Mr Martin's ears. Canda is just lost and getting more lost each day. I predict that its going to get so bad up there that one day the flood of illegals coming DOWN is going to make the flood of illegals coming UP look like a trickle.
Have a hiisy fit.
What are they going to do, complain to the U.N. after the fact?
They abdicated their soveriegnty. We haven't abdicated ours. We are not going to let a nuke missile destroy our cities because the Canadian leadership refuses to grow up and participate in their own defense.
Did Canada consult with us before they foisted Bryan Adams on us?
