MADRID (Reuters) - A Moroccan suspected of plotting to blow up Spain's High Court has been found hanged in his prison cell, the prison service says.
Mustafa Zanibar, 32, was already serving a 29-year prison term for murder when Judge Baltasar Garzon accused him of forming part of a militant Islamist group planning to blow up high-profile buildings in Madrid including Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu soccer stadium.
The "Martyrs for Morocco" plot to blow up the High Court with a truck bomb was discovered late last year and several arrests followed, but some of the suspects were already in jail for other offences.
Zanibar, who had been isolated since Garzon's accusation, was found hanged in the shower at a prison in Zaragoza, a spokeswoman for the prison service said.
She added he was thought to be linked to Mohamed Achraf, the spiritual leader of the "Martyrs for Morocco", who is being held in Switzerland for alleged immigration violations.
Right now he is meeting his 72 year old virgin.
Which raises the question: is he such a good Muslim, and if so, was he in fact murdered in his cell? If so, by whom? Most likely the prison guards...
I'm guessing he's just a bad Muslim, but it's not like there isn't precedent of domestic terrorists dying in European jails under non-suicide circumstances, being dressed up to look like suicides (Baader-Meinhoff).
Hanged in his prison ? Cool ! I'm sure that he has already met Allah.

Couldn't he still be looked upon as a martyr since he may have killed himself in order to avoid interrogation?

I don't know. I think a "true martyr" is supposed to withhold answers during interrogation or even torture. That's probably how the terrorists will justify it.

Read the fine print, martyrs to be, read the fine print! It is like the miles you used to get on some airlines. There were blackout dates, fees, the awards expired or weren't good on certain prime routes/flights.
The dumb martyrs (they are going to kill themselves for nothing, after all) may buy the package, but those with any brains should reconsider. You aren't going to get any young blondes! Face it, the Mullahs would have reserved the good looking ones already. Is the false promise species specific or could a human martyr get canine or porcine virgins? Is it gender specific? Is it just another trick of the Muslim paradise that there is actually only one female but she's got plastic surgeons that permit her to requalify an infinite number of times as a martyr's reward.
