For the freedom you enjoyed yesterday...
Thank the Veterans
who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Good morning Troops!
Themeless Thursday Feb. 24, 2005!

We're in the clouds today!

Clouds are interesting!!
There are many kinds of clouds.

Behind this cartoon cloud are Lenticular Clouds.

Some of us are in the clouds most of the time.
I'm sure writer 33 would attest to that as fact.
Of course, he would be thinking about the Queen of no Theme, bentfeather.

Many of our FReepers are pilots, they love being in the clouds.

On this day...
Operation Desert Storm Ground Campaign Began (1991).

Learning more about clouds.

Beautiful, balmy and wet! Had rain last night, but it's gone today and overcast! I'm on the mountain so it's foggy up here with me. But it feels cozy!
How about you?

I'm posting this here since I am sure someone is going to post an actual thread. An Amber Alert has just been issued for a 9 yo girl in Florida. Her name is Jessica Lunsford. Don't have all the info at this time. But if you know of anyone in Florida and surrounding states, let them know to be on the lookout.

I think every city has its share of nut cases behind steering wheels. I take defensive driving every 3 or 4 years for insurance dedutions, and almost every other driver is in the class for ticket dismissal. Just bad drivers everywhere. One of these days I'm getting a bumper sticker that says:

If you are passing me
YOU ARE SPEEDING

I don't have a problem with them passing me, speeding or not. It's those drivers who drive in the left lane even though they are NOT passing anyone. And, they won't move out of the way of anyone behind them.

We had about 1/2" of rain during the night. There was one line of T'storms that hit about 315 and lasted until about 530. No real heavy rain, but a really great lightening show.

I'm at work, with not much to do today. Just a few emails I had to reply to and one survey to complete - FOR NOW. No telling what the rest of the day will bring.

I (we here in Austin) have a problem with "mudbuckets" and other 18 wheelers driving in ALL THREE LANES of the freeways and blocking traffic flow. They think they are the only people on the road and won't let anyone pass.

We do have our share of speed demons who leave 10 or 15 minutes late and try to make up time in traffic. Cain't be done.

One more thing about the 18 wheelers, is they seem to have supercharged engines in every truck, as they all can take off from a traffic light and stay ahead of traffic. </sarcasm>
