Maurice Hinchey, Dem Rep Who Accused Rove of Planting Rathergate Docs, on Hannity Tonight
Hannity & Colmes, Fox News | governsleast governsbest

Posted on 02/23/2005 6:07:47 PM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Maurice Hinchey, the far-left Demcorat who at a public forum in Ithaca over the weekend accused Karl Rove of planting the forged Rathergate documents, will be on Hannity and Colmes during this hour.

I'm sorry to say that Hinchey is my congressman. This is the same guy who at the beginning of the Iraq war accused our military of committing 'massacres' in Iraq.

I can confidently predict that Hinchey will not back down. He is a strutting little arrogant fellow. Keep your eyes peeled to see if the cameras show his feet - he likes to affect cowboy boots - this Brooklyn-born little tough guy.

Good analysis. It is just so impossible on various levels that Rove was behind this. Not only, as you point out, is it totally at odds with Burkett's involvement, but it makes no sense from a strategic perspective. Would Rove have been crazy enough to put out documents that put W in a bad light, on the assumption it would backfire? And what if the fraud had been traced back to Rove? Game over for W. An incubment with a lead risking that? Never in a million years.

Hinchey looked like a loon!

Hannity challenged him for proof...and Hinchey made himself look even worse.

That little segment did some damage to the democrat party.

People through out America were watching it and thinking...
"holy crap....is this what that party has become"

I say keep the loons like Hinchey and Dean out in the public. By the time 2008 rolls around....Republicans could run a goat against the dems and win!

Just saw your ping and didn't realize he already appeared. Hopefully his appearance may come back to haunt him.

Did you see Colmes attempt at 'helping' Hinchey? Pointing out that Scott Peterson was convicted on the basis of circumstantial evidence too. Great job, Alan, comparing the president's trusted advisor to a man who murdered his wife and child.

Thank you so very much for the ping, and for posting this.
I'm doing very slow and painstaking computer work tonight, and I really needed the laugh break that Hinchey provided.

Hannity told Hinchey that if he could come up with concrete evidence within two weeks, and bring it to their show, he (Sean) would donate $l,000 to charity---

While Hinchey was laughing (of course, he couldn't take Sean up on the offer because there is NO evidence), you could hear Alan Colmes say, "Whose charity, Sean, yours?"

Alan knew that Hinchey was making crazy charges, so he had to find SOME way to deliver a slam, so he slammed Sean as being cheap!!

Exactly, you got it - that is my point. I was being sarcastic. I cannot believe that anyone - even the media people - have not pointed out that argument. They are so focused on the "bringing down CBS" aspect, that they are ignoring the facts of the story.

No one is mentioning the Burkett involvement at all in any of their joustings with Hinchey. Did Burkett just disappear?

"Hannity and Colmes" aka "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".

Maurice Hinchey is a certified Kook. But what else do you expect from a party that elected Dr. Strangelove Dean as their national party chairman?

Yeah, I didn't catch this thread in time. Sorry about that.

Hey, I met Karl Rove at CPAC... he told me there's no way he's behind this! LOL ;-D

Is there no limit to the number of loons appearing on H&C.

What is maddening is that this guy is no common loon dragged in off the sidewalk. He is a sitting member of Congress with 12 years' seniority.

What's worse, much worse, is that he is MY congressman, this preening, arrogant little jackass. He is utterly confident in his electoral invulnerability and what is most maddening of all is that he has fair reason to be.

I would have laughed too, but as mentioned, this evil little twerp [who has also accused our military of committing 'massacres' in Iraq] is my congressman.

I'm stunned that the left seems to genuninely believe this stuff. They fabricateelaborate theories, and then find "proof" to support those theories, but the proof is only rumor or conjecture at best.

I do love that they are marginalizing themselves so openly.

They're officially out of the area51 closet now, and it helps our side. They seem to be on an accelerated decline.
