Methinks one does not need to be gay or a prostitute to make money on the Internet. I don't think Gannon was collecting any money directly related to the products advertised.
If I had a site,and someone payed me to advertise on it a business that sold, among other things a fat burner pill, would that connect me to the pharmacy industry?
