The judge in the Sciavo case has issued an emergency stay.
Yep. Until tomorrow.
The deliberate cruelty of the proposed tortuous death by starvation/dehydration must be made front and center for the immediate reprieve.
ping!
Greer issued a stay?? OMG I'm shocked...but thank HEAVEN!!
Oh please be true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's unbelievable that bleeding-heart liberals find starvation and thirst as an acceptable way to end a precious life. But then they believe far worse with abortion. With criminals and terrorists of course they want the kindest of treatment.
To demonstrate the legal contradictions in this case, Floridians should pass a law mandating starvation and dehydration as the required means of execution for deathrow criminals. Does anyone really think the liberal citizenry and courts would consider that not to be cruel and unusual punishment?
It looks like we have until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow to stop Michael.
Went looking for info on the Judge. Seems he has a long history of ignoring the law when it comes to abused women:

and a little bit of possible explanation for the honorable judge's behavior: http://hyscience.typepad.com/hyscience/2005/02/the_hapless_mis.html
The article linked in #33 reads:
"A Pinellas Circuit Court judge has issued an emergency stay that will keep Terri Schiavo's feeding tube in place until 5 p.m. Wednesday."
The judge is not named. I doubt if Greer would do this, but I don't know what his official title is.
ok does anyone know why he just doesnt divorce her and giveher back to her parents?
is it the money? have they offered to let him keep his damm money? or would they get it?
This is divine intervention.
Let's keep praying that these parents will prevail and though not very nice of me, Michael rots in hell.
Dumb question time...I haven't followed this case very closely, so please forgive me.
I keep hearing on the radio news today that Terri is brain dead. That's not true, is it? They're saying she's been brain dead for a long time. I saw the videos of her moving her head around and responding to things around her. Can someone be brain dead and still move around and follow things with his/her eyes?
What's up with using the term "brain dead"? And what would be the correct term for the state she's in?
I'm sorry if I come across as living with my head in the sand, but I don't think I've heard that term used to describe her before. I've heard "vegetative state," but not "brain dead."
why does the husband want to remove the tube?
That will stop the slippery slope. I hope this bill is expedited. SENIORS IT SEEMS ARE SWAMPING THE LEGISLATURE. THEY ARE AFRAID OF EUTHANASIA. That is something new to me.
SHEP SMITH: The feeding tube keeps her alive. They have been battling for years. Feeding tube to stay - parents. Eric from the newsroom: There will be another day of legal wrangling in this battle that has lasted 7 years. Eric says "feeding tube is keeping her alive." (no). Michael's house picketed. Signs supported her parents to "Save Terri". Showing Michael's front yard in Clearwater. Terri's dad "We are begging and pleading with the legislature and governor bush for being murdered in cold blood." Felos: telegraphing to the legislature, telegraphing to the governor. He doesn't see intervention in this case.
FV: SOME PEOPLE ARE ALREADY COMING TO FLORIDA and MORE ARE JUST STARTING THEIR JOURNEY! I was giving directions to the courthouse today for tomorrow's hearing before J. Greer.
