Rush, expected to be in Afghanistan yesterday was delayed in Dubai...There safe now, expressing tremendous gratitude for US Military.
He says it's pretty backward in Af'stan, but he has high regard for both the American troops AND the Afghans.
Only one English television station (BBC) in his section. LOL
Rush told the troops what people are saying about them (Leftists) and troops aren't snickering. Eager for the Truth, from vistors from home.

The troops are eager to hear what's going on in the world. It seems all the media available is CNN and BBC.
Culture different than what most Americans would realize.
Afhgans he's met are excited about their future but aware they may have been hand picked because of positive feelings. Will know more in days to come.

I felt so small standing next to the troops... they're eager for the truth... soldiers express frustration that when they get home they see news that does not reflect what they are doing... the Taliban is done, defeated... the UN is trying to get their hands in the back pocket of the taxpayer... this place is so much better off than it was a year or two... only met a few Afghanis... I'm well aware that they might have found some for me... but they're all excited to live their life in freedom... big problem is opium production... president Kharzai is trying to shame them into not producing opium... it would inspire you if you were here to see it..."
Rush says the optimism from our commanding officers is inspiring.
