Maverick Republican Sen. John McCain said Sunday that his New York colleague, Sen. Hillary Clinton, would do well if she becomes president of the United States.
"I am sure that Sen. Clinton would make a good president," McCain told NBC's "Meet the Press," as both he and Clinton were being interviewed from Baghdad.
While noting that as a Republican, he'll be supporting the GOP nominee in 2008, McCain reiterated, "I have no doubt that Sen. Clinton would make a good president."
Asked whether she thought McCain would make a good president, Sen. Clinton was somewhat less effusive, responding tersely, "Absolutely" - before erupting in her familiar cackle.
He has no identifiable principles. He sits in his senate office like Cesar, watching issues parade in front of him, and he gives thumbs up or down either on pure whim, or if he hears the roar of the croud loudly enough.
Even if mclame was just being a gentleman with his remarks -- and that is giving him a big benefit of the doubt -- he ought to know that the wench and every other dem is never polite in kind.
In addition to mclames's remark, the "news" is that shrillery rotten is continuing her deliberate but fake-fronted makeover to appeal to the mainstream.
And the people may very well buy it lock, stock & barrel since my fellow citizens of NY did back in good ol' 2000.
This is making me sick.
Yeah, we gotta look for that (gag).
I saw this. I thought Russert was way out of line asking the question. They are in overseas together, fellow senators, on a topic they have a common interest in. What are they supposed to say?
Chris Wallace did the same thing to former presidents Clinton and Bush. "Now that you aren't running for office, do you get along?" In both cases, it was the questioner grandstanding, and the only answer that could be expected was the one they got.
Is anyone really surprised by this?
McCain, Hillary, Lindsey Graham. All examples of professional politicians who are the opposite of what the founders had in mind.
Maybe he'll be her VP and finally STOP pretending to be a Republican.
I wish this was an adult forum, because my comments as we run now would get me banned.
Is he trolling to be named her Vice President?
Really, I cannot believe the ignorance of these people. Who wouldn't see through the blatant about-face?
They are still stretched out from the over 800 FBI files she never had.
As far as McCain goes, I've been typing his name McCain for years. ;)
I'll tell you what; I don't agree with McCain on this one, but by gosh, my hat goes off to him for the sacrifices he made as a POW in Vietnam. They must have tortured him quite severely, beating him about the head for days on end. His country owes him a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid.
That's it. McCain has finally broken the camels back. That guy is just as bad as any media-whore democrat I have ever seen.
Pray for W and Our Troops
..yeah..well McVaciliator is swaying and tottering again I see..no matter which way he spins it.. at best she's lipstick on a pig.
"Hey john how many sailors have you killed today, or who else have you sold out in the past 40 years."
We have just been through a repudiation of Kerry on his "heroic" role. I am still amazed that the public continues to hear this man and ignore his "mates" out there who have spoken about his like betrayals.
Trouble is a lot more of those who experienced his "heroics" are dead now. One could still hope that someone would rise up and prevent this person from any higher public office. I am sorry that Bush gave him a voice in this past campaign.
