Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton Says the Iraq Insurgency Is Failing (She's Running for Something..)
Star Tribune/ Associated Press ^ | 2.19.05

US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton said today in Baghdad that a string of attacks killing more than 50 Iraqis in two days were failed attempts to sow sectarian strife and destablize the country.

Clinton and Sen. John McCain were part of a 5 member congressional delegation that met with US officials and members of Iraq's interim government.

Both Senators Clinton and McCain have historically been strident critics of the Pentagon's planning and management of the war in Iraq. But Clinton said Saturday that the Sunni Muslim insurgents were failing in their efforts to destabilize Iraq through sectarian violence.

Her comments came as numerous insurgent attacks across Iraq killed dozens of people as Shiite Muslim worshippers celebrated their holiest day of the year.

Clinton said insurgents had failed to disrupt Iraq's landmark January 30 elections, won by the Shiite clergy backed ticket.

'Not one polling place was shut down or overrun. The results of this election are a strong rebuke to those who did not believe that the Iraqi people would take this opportunity to demonstrate their own committment to their own future.'

Me thinks the NYTimes will have a few comments on
this and will find a way to downplay the exact
wording of her highness. Now, with Bill and Bush, Sr. Buddie-Buddies...there is something in the air and
the shrewd ones are making some headway...watch the

This is nothing more than sticking a finger in the air for the current of today.

Of that I have no doubt.

When a Dem actually is willing to show they are serious about putting this country first and brave the bad with the good, than I'll congratulate them. So far the only one currently in the Senate is Joe Leiberman.

The fact that Leiberman could never get the nomination is a testiment to the stupidity of the DemocRat party. And liberals tell me that Conservatives would never vote for a Jew!

It won't be long before she is taking credit for the entire Iraqi operation.

She'll be photoed with the troops, sponsoring veterans bills (whether they pass or not won't matter), waxing eloquent over democracy in Iraq etc. The MSM of course will be totally complicit in her transformation.

Hillary Clinton looks AWFUL in that picture and in the few shots I saw of her on TV today. What an unkempt, cold-looking woman she is. No way is she going to make people believe she is a moderate. The only things she can count on in '08 are the rabid left and Democrats who are full of hatred and sour grapes and the DNC stand-by: voter fraud.

"Let's not look gift horses in mouths."

I don't think this is the case of looking a gift horse in the mouth. More like looking a gift horse's patoot in the mouth. And in case you have forgotten what the definition of the mouth of a horse's patoot, consider the following:

mouth: n. pl. mouths (mouthz)

1. d. The opening to any cavity or canal in an organ or a bodily part.

Wouldn't you know that ol' McPain would be by her side?

She'd better have on a clean pantsuit, or she'll have to blame another fainting spell on the flu.

I care not a wit what any of you spineless opportunistic , and in some instances traitorous, Senators with a god complex think about the war. You haven't earned the right to be an authority on its success or its failure.

Well said. The Senator from New York will now gladly accept credit for the Great Iraq Election that would not have occurred if her socialist party had been making the calls.

If the Iraqis get a good look at that, they'll want to bring back the burkas.

"..Clinton and Sen. John McCain..."

McCain has sold his soul again, once in safe keeping with the Kerrys, now to the Clintons.

If McCain had an ounce of integrity he would have refuted Kerry long ago for Kerry's aiding and abetting the Viet Cong by testifying before Congress that American military forces committed "atrocities" (war crimes) everyday.
Afterall, Kerry's "atrocity confessions" certainly let CONGRESS OFF THEIR WAR MONGERING HOOK, didn't it?

I read an article about Hillary Clinton's
recent trip to IRAQ, and the reporter refers
to the senator "the wife of Former President Clinton."

This labeling is just about giving Hillary credibility above all other senators!

If anyone starts to wonder why Hillary is always going abroad and wasting tax dollars...we are suddenly soothed into a comfort zone because, oh yes, she's a "former presidents" wife!!

Was Hillary appointed Ambassador of the United States!!!!??

Hillary Rodham "Do-Harm" Clinton is very powerful.

This fact should not be ignored.

It must be causing brain cramps among the elite Will they see them as BS to get elected and then change after the elction or will they be outraged and flock to DEAN ( with their $$$$$)

Ya can never tell about WACK JOBS
