Maher ought to stop practicing medicine, and pretend he's a comedian.

I saw Bill Maher on Larry King the other night and it sure looked like(IMO) Bill has a case of full-blown AIDS!

What a LOSER!
...all we can do is hammer the advertisers that support this asshole!

"....by people who do not believe in science and rationality."

And how are you rational Bill? Man, you think you are so good looking when, in fact, every time I see that thing on top of your neck taking up space, it makes me want to vomit.

If you look at it logically, it's something that was drilled into your head when you were a small child. It certainly was drilled into mine at that age.

Doesn't seem to work very well. I wonder if Bill just stopped thinking?

Is it possible that atheism is a neurological disorder that stops people from thinking???

I think that religion stops people from thinking.

That goes double for secular religions like liberalism. ;)

Christians: Does anyone care what a washed-up has-been like Bill Maher thinks?

sounds like bill is doing the nazi trick of accusing the other people of what he is up to himself!

One also wonders where he got his degree in psychology or psychiatry and what evidence he has that can justify making such definitive statements?

Speaking as a person who holds no religious beliefs, I think Bill Maher is an intolerant, elitist snob, whose contempt for people he disagrees with has retarded his rationality.

Sadly, there are too many hate filled people like him who give nonreligious people a bad name and who are rewarded for their extremist views by being given free air time.

Using MRI and CT scan technology, liberal brains exhibit the same neurological patterns as people suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. I'm sorry I don't have a citation for this, but a quick google search will give you the story.

"When you look at beliefs in such things as, do you go to heaven, is there a devil...

Well, he's playing right into Satan's hands (or hooves). This is exactly what the devil wants, for people to think he doesn't exist.

But then again, don't mind me, I'm one of those religious wackos.

And some people START thinking because of religion. True, many go overboard and close their minds, but isn't this true of any religion or cause?

Bill can take up the issue directly with God someday, when he's on his knees confessing that Jesus is Lord, and trying to figure out how to worm his way out of an impending one-way trip to a most unpleasant destination.

Oh, please do continue to say things like that, Bill. As publicly as possible. The more the American people see what's behind the 'Rats, the more they'll vote Republican.

Pretty broad brush there, Bill. Yes, there are plenty of Christians whose approach to their religion "stops them from thinking". But there are also plenty of Christians whose approach to their religion promotes thinking, and plenty of adherents of other religions (including certain brands of socialism and environmentalism) whose approach to their religion stops them from thinking. Any dogmatic approach to life is harmful, both to the individual harboring it, and to others whose lives are affected by that individual's actions, but why pick on Christians?

"I think flying planes into a building was a faith-based initiative."

What about gassing a few million Jews? Is that a non-faith-based initiative? Theist and atheist all have their share of nuts. Bill Maher needs a log rest.

Bill the oh so open minded non judgmental liberal that pretends to be independent. I have yet to hear him say anything conservative. What a typical hypocritical jerk. No wonder why his show was cut.
