The time may be coming when we the people who rely more and more on these systems to manage the basics of our lives call upon our elected representatives to take Draconian measure against any that we can catch... How many disrupted lives does it take to go to jail (with no computer access) for 25 years without parole? I am so fed up with trying to get rid of coolweb and trojan horse crap that I would vote for Hillery if she promised to do something about it!

There's no web browser for CP/M.

You must have been rich. All I could afford back then was an Atari 400, with the flat keyboard. I just about wore off my fingerprints typing on that thing.

I spent over fourteen years on line using CP/M (BBS, Compuserve, etc.) before I ever made the leap to the WWW.

Way back when, I thought it was most excellent that I could send a message to a fellow in Austrailia, and have his reply within 4 days. I bought some Lego that way once.

I don't know about that, but I do know that everything was extremely expensive back then. So much so that I took out a personal loan to pay for it.

The computer was something like $900, 13" Color TV (monitor) was $350, SS/DD floppy drive (Rana, not Atari) was $350, 100-dpi dot matrix printer was $350.

The flat panel keyboard was one of the things that steered me away from the 400. The limited amount of memory and single ROM cartridge slot were the others.

I've still got my 800 and peripherals boxed away. Someday I'm going to unpack it and take a stroll down memory lane.
