I know you haven't met my Marine but we've been married for over 20 years now and he only once has called me a name - and he was laughing when he did it - I deserved to be called the name and it shocked me so that I started laughing also.......... I can't even imagine loving someone and calling them names..........
We rarely argue either -

Well, it looks like both me and AMD are safe. We try to talk if we are unhappy.

I posted it for its humor, to me anyway. Tuition keeps going up and so do taxes so someone can research common sense.

I would really prefer to tell him where to go, how to get there and what he can do with himself along the way.Well put. I'll pass that one along to my wife.

Nagging women live longer?
PLEASE.
This is just saying what we already knew. The more control you feel in your life, male or female, the better your health. This is why a type A personality can out live a type B personality.
This is garbage science spun to satisfy the PC nazis.

I laughed when I saw it because it's so true.
Ain't marriage wonderful?
Yes, it's certainly not boring.

Is my ex is safe now?......she only nagged about things like the toilet seat and me liking to cook, and me snoring, and me looking at a fine package, and me watching football, and me mentioning to her of her constantly straying from the budget we both agreed to, and me working weekends on $116 million plus contracts for a month or 2 straight, and me studying to learn technical job-related stuff, and me liking to fish, and, and, and, and............but she never nagged about me always being ready for a rumble in the hay.

A good defense is usually a strong offense when a problem pops up.

It USED to be very few men who filed for divorce first. Now the numbers are 60/40 if not 50/50. Of the men who file for divorce, I would anedotally divorce court observations say that NAGGING is a major factor. (that and really bad sex lives)

NAGGING is a major factor NAGGING and constructive criticism isn't even spelled alike.
Nagging by either spouse is a 100% guarantee to take the marriage downhill.

I was thinking of my MIL when I mentioned passive aggressive behavior...it has been instilled in my husband, and sometimes he nags ME and pursues where I don't want to go at the moment because *I* dont want to be provoked into a blamemeblameyou namecalling contest.

Secret: SSSHHHHH!!! Keep her busy and she won't have time to nag. After she nags awhile, just start kissing them. Take it to the bedroom.....if she resists....go fishing. At least one of you will have done something to relax about it!!

And the passive-aggressive behavior is one thing I have just figured out about the family after 15 years. They all get mad at each other, but they don't say anything about it either. I'd much rather have a fight than waiting for some sideswipe of a comment that comes from suppressed feelings. I dont like this about myself, but I do it too, sometimes out of self-defense.
thats not to say I like fighting, either. But aggression comes from both sides. I just love how some of the male posters on here act like its only women who cause damage to a marriage.
