Goss fears WMD attack in U.S. 'a matter of time'

Senior U.S. intelligence leaders told Congress yesterday that "it may only be a matter of time" before terrorists try to use weapons of mass destruction against the United States. In his first public appearance since becoming CIA director in September, Porter J. Goss used the annual worldwide threat hearing to issue the prediction, while another federal official said the FBI knows little about al Qaeda sleeper cells such as the September 11 terrorists. "It may be only a matter of time before al Qaeda or another group attempts to use chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons," Mr. Goss told the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III testified that he is "very concerned" about the lack of data on a network of al Qaeda "sleeper" cells in the United States.

So let them file a lawsuit--that doesn't mean that they will win. In a post 911 world we can't afford to skimp on the nation's security because we are afraid to take the fight to the ACLU. The (legal) citizens of this country will back the president if he stands and fights for our security. However, if he does not change his position on illegal immigration and border security his support will evaporate if there is another attack that could have been thwarted if we had at least attempted to control our borders.

My point was that the activist judiciary, like the Ninth Circus, ensures a win. It is a partnership between the left and the courts brokered by the ACLU. Really, all the Ninth circus does is rubber stamp whatever the ACLU brings in front of it. Otherwise, I completely agree that the border and illegal immigration is a matter that Bush is out of touch on.
One more reason too shoot first and then ask questions.

He's been getting threats for years, since long before 9-11. I read an interview with him long ago, in the mid to late 90s, he wouldn't even let the reporter know where his office was at that time. They met someplace else.
He's a very brave man, to do what he's been doing since the early 90s or before.
I remember first seeing him on probably cnn in maybe 94, talking about the moslem/terror infiltration of the US, and I couldn't believe that no one in Washington was paying attention to him then. He has been trying for a long time to get our govt to listen, and it wasn't until 9-11 that they finally had to face the problem.

Well obviously, the key to compensating for the total lack of border security in the Southwest, is to lower the target fondling age of teenage girls by the TSA from 16 to 12.

The amazing thing about those who want the borders to remain open is that they are the same ones who see no problem with Castro and other Commies building walls to keep their people IN these "worker's paradises".
Build a huge trench with barbed wire along the top and make sure it's patrolled, heck, bring the troops home from Germany to guard it. We have the right to protect ourselves, and who cares what the Canadian or Mexican Governments think, they don't support us NOW, anyway.
Even if what you say is true--you still fight. You do not give up. This is past the point of political correctness, political posturing or got-cha politics. Not to sound overly-dramatic but we are talking about the security of the nation. So if it means taking on the ACLU, Ninth Circuit or whomever, you do it. You don't concede. We owe it to the brave Americans who have died defending this country. What will the next generation of Americans think of us if we refuse to stand and fight and simply give away their birthright?
This can't be repeated enough. Especially everyone living in main stream America. Once another attack comes, it will be too late to prepare. The time is now.

some, but not all. most, in fact, aren't fooled by all that crap, even if they won't admit it. people are amazingly discerning; it's only when the elites try to make everything indistinguishable, same-same, and unisex that the issue becomes obscured. But they're morons and we all know that.
You would think the media would put him on more, except maybe he doesn't want 'more' publicity. But he sure has done us all a great favor!
We need to re-iterate the danger involved with open borders. Apparently the entire federal govt. well at least 99% do not think there is a problem with open borders.
THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM. I WILL POST IF I DEEM IT NECESSARY.
Maybe the DHS should set up a string of pork fajita stands along the border and watch out for anybody who refuses to partake.
