The USS Jimmy Carter is shown here under the helm of it's newly appointed Captain, Cmdr. Kevin Mooney, who was previously the Captain of the USS San Francisco.
Cmdr. Mooney was quoted as saying:

"I am relieved that the Navy has allowed me to take command of another submarine and has given me all assurances that my charts are current. I look forward to being as good of a Captain, as Mr. Carter was a President."

Remember, Jimmuh WAS a nuclear engineer, just like John Kerry served in Vietnam.

On the main mast you have no control surfaces! How does this thing turn or because it is named after Carter does it just keep going to the left and never get anywhere ?

Like the Sopwith Camel(Sp?) of WWI, the attack submarine, Stealthy Rabbit wends its elusive path through the new Disney ride, "Danger at Lake Wobegone."

Something tells me that whatever duty it is called to, a rival in the fleet will always beat it to the punch and get the job done it couldn't.. LOL.

The only consolation I can take from all this is the thought that deep down inside Jimmy Carter hates having his name associated with a tool and symbol of American power.

Seawolf-class attack submarine Jimmy Carter SSN 23

23... very appropriate, I believe it is the same number as the misery index during his administration

Can someone please enlarge the picture so we can more carefully examine the crew on the bridge? They all look lustfully naked!

Knowledge is Power

As the only Nuclear Engineer to ever occupy the White House. It's fitting that a Sub be named after him.
