As I understand it, this sub isn't even a nuclear class sub. It runs on fuel. Can you imagine a fuel boat sailing the ocean blue in tow behind this sub?

He was educated in the Plains public schools, attended Georgia Southwestern College and the Georgia Institute of Technology, and received a B.S. degree from the United States Naval Academy in 1946.
In the Navy he became a submariner, serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets and rising to the rank of lieutenant.
Chosen by Admiral Hyman Rickover for the nuclear submarine program, he was assigned to Schenectady, N.Y., where he took graduate work at Union College in reactor technology and nuclear physics, and served as senior officer of the pre-commissioning crew of the Seawolf.

Like the Sopwith Camel(Sp?) of WWI, the attack submarine, Stealthy Rabbit wends its elusive path through the new Disney ride, "Danger at Lake Wobegone."

Reagan would have made in spite of Carter's appearance on the scene.
Its hard to me to picture Jimmy as a ring knocker and a Rickover acolyte.

Was only poking fun at his pronunciation of the word nuclear during his presidency. Something that is often done to President Bush.

Something tells me that whatever duty it is called to, a rival in the fleet will always beat it to the punch and get the job done it couldn't.. LOL.

"Jimmuh, this sub ain't powered by no peanuts!"
To: r5boston
The only consolation I can take from all this is the thought that deep down inside Jimmy Carter hates having his name associated with a tool and symbol of American power.
