Sky News latest is that witnesses report a plane overhead, with the Iranians unable to confirm AA went off around the plant. So much for them not giving away their radar and AAA locations...

I thought fuel was stored in the wings and other places of large planes ..... Fighters routinely carry jettisonable under-wing tanks and centerline tanks.

Put the two latest reports together, and I would guess the Iranians just shot down one of their own planes. :)

External fuel tanks will fall off. It could have been an Iranian fighter patrolling too close to the plants. The AA lights up and he drops the tanks to avoid getting hit.

That's exactly how Al Alam wanted it to come across.
Witnesses were paid to have seen an unidentified aircraft and report an explosion that does not occur.

I think it meant to say that witnesses saw an unidentified aircraft before the explosion. But Babelfish got messed up with some double negatives, and "paid" should be "said."
Just a guess.
