THE NEW YORK OBSERVER will report tomorrow: 'Former 60 Minutes Wednesday executive editor Josh Howard has told colleagues that before he resigns, the 23-year CBS News veteran will demand that the network retract remarks by CBS president Leslie Moonves, correct its official story line and ultimately clear his name'...
In the event of a lawsuit, Mr. Howard has told associates that he would like to see Moonves put under oath to talk about his own roles in the network's stubborn, hapless defense of the flawed segment on President Bush's National Guard service.
Howard has also indicated to colleagues that he would subpoena specific CBS documents, including the e-mails of top executives.

secret internal documents and emails and why weren't these discovered by the 'commission?
OR - why isn't there ample reason now for a Congressional investigation to demand such documents?
Oh, sorry, I keep forgetting. It's democrats so there's no crime...
ASKED TO RESIGN, 3 AT CBSNEWS HIRE LAWYERS INSTEAD: More than month after CBS head Moonves requested resignations of 3 top journos who helped oversee flawed report on Bush National Guard -- they have yet to step down...""-from drudge
Does gloat taste pretty good?
been there -- done that.
Remember Pearl Lite. Now that was lite beer. Kinda tastedlike water.
if this is so, that means he he couldn't make it thru boot! not surprised - but if so, after what he tried to do to Bush - this information should be splashed across the nation
I didn't really care about the charges except that the extreme example of press bias. The press sued to get sealed divorce papers and then played up something from Ryan's private life.
If Ryan had been a Dem, the press would have treated the story as radioactive and only the National Inquirer and a few similar papers would have even touched on it.
That's been done, but at this stage I've broken the habit, so I don't need to go there anymore!!

Well, maybe, MJY, but not in the case of the Billary's who had ways of keeping the troops in line.
A horses head in bed here, a body in a park there, and first thing you know, someone decides to "roll over one moe time."
Wow! Dan Rather, Moonves under oath - must see TV.
What kind of a name is "Moonves"? Is he a FJB?
run adaware after you visit any site...and you will see that those little devils are all over the place.
These days, its best to run something like spysweeper full time.....so it blocks those regardless.
Same here. The VRWC is getting pretty good these days. The Left in all this turmoil and no mention the VRWC since '98.
I'm loyal to Drudge for what he's done in the past.
But.
I used to hit his page first every day. Now I go first to Lucianne.com. I love her home page...all the big stories laid out an she can bitchslap better than anyone.
I maybe go to Drudge once a week now.
I think you missed my point, which was the CRAP that the guy allows to infest his site, not the content of the Drudge Report.
Try what I suggested sometime....give your computer a spyware douche, making sure it's cleansed thoroughly - then go to Drudge and do your thing, and then run your spyware again....you'll see that Matt allows/enables all sorts of garbage to breed there, just waiting to impregnate your computer. You won't go back.
Does life get any better than this???
I run my spyware stuff 3 or 4 times a week at the least; amazing what sneaks in, isn't it??
You know it's a good thread when you start seeing all of the "quick - change the subject posts" a pic here, a link there. Focus is key ;
