Rush Limbaugh Divorce Finalized
Rush Limbaugh's divorce has been "signed and sealed" in a Florida courthouse, the Palm Beach Daily News reports.
The popular radio host returns to bachelor status after ending his marriage with his third wife, Marta.
The paper said Circuit Judge Sandra Taylor "issued the final judgment Dec. 21 and sealed the 22-page settlement agreement, according to Monroe County (Key West) Circuit Court records."
Marta, 45, a former aerobics instructor, had been married to the country's most famous radio host for 10 years. She will return to using her former name, Marta Maranda, and no longer use the Limbaugh name.
The paper added that "Limbaugh reportedly has been dating CNN anchor Daryn Kagan since August, and media speculation has run rampant as to whether the 42-year-old will become the fourth Mrs. Limbaugh."
Limbaugh's spokesman was not available for comment to the the Daily News.
Rush's divorce comes as no surprise to his 20 million regular weekly listeners. Last June, Rush informed his listeners that he and Marta were going their separate ways.

I know that if I had his money, a team of mules couldn't drag me down the aisle if I all of a sudden found myself single. But that's just me.

Pre-nups are nothing more than "advanced divorce filings".
Any one should carefully consider marrying anyone who requests one for if one is requesting on, one is merely stating that he/she doesn't trust you enough to be making this life-long bond.

For the love of god Rush don't marry again.Rush was funnier and more insightful when he was lonely and bitter.
This is true of the best FReepers, too.

I guess some think gossiping isn't as bad as adultery.
I'm one of those. I think that cheating on a spouse is worse than others talking about it.

At the risk of being accused of piety:
Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome (fighting and contending). Instead, he must be kindly to everyone and mild-tempered [preserving the bond of peace]; he must be a skilled and suitable teacher, patient and forbearing and willing to suffer wrong.[AMP]
Proverbs 17:14 The beginning of strife is like letting out water, so abandon the quarrel before it breaks out.

My personal feeling is the Marta tried to change Rush into something he wasn't. He frequently said that she hated his love for cigars. He weight loss, the failed back surguries etc may have led to a inwardly very unhappy Rush. This may have been the catharsis in his pain medication rehab. Ouch...
My sister is going through a very painful divorce from her husband of 16 years. Her husband is a career diplomat and is often stationed in foreign cities for year at a time. She hated this part of his life knowing that it was his passion. She though she could change him with lures of a stable hearth and home in Washington DC. No Sale.
The moral to this story may be that we should marry our spouses because of their passions not in spite of them.

Suppose she is in love with his mind?Women do tend to be less interested in physical appearances than men are, though there are certainly exceptions.

Women marry men hoping to change them.
Men marry women hoping they stay the same.

I've seen way too many successful fellers dump their "stay at home mom" wives for the young hottie they work with. It disgusts me.Me, too. I can't figure out why the young hotties never go for the available single guys. Never mind. I do know.

Yeah, being so involved in public life must make it very hard to preserve any type of strong private life. I feel bad for the poor guy. At least he can say that he is making a difference in the world, and making it a better and more enlightened place, were the conservative ideology is taking hold.
To: elhombrelibre
Or...he might be wonderful and a wonderful husband. None of us know. I too wish him the best single or married. It's what he has done on the air that counts for me. Also, I could NEVER have learned both sides of the political coin had I not been listening to Rush since his beginnings. That's why my tagline is what it is. ;)

"I'm one of those. I think that cheating on a spouse is worse than others talking about it." Moral relativists do disagree with Romans 1:29-30, and also pooh-pooh verse 32, but that doesn't change reality.

I wish Marta the best of luck.....
It couldn't have been easy to be married to RL......even if I agree with a lot of what he says, he still is arrogant and annoying at times.....
