Rush Limbaugh Divorce Finalized
Rush Limbaugh's divorce has been "signed and sealed" in a Florida courthouse, the Palm Beach Daily News reports.
The popular radio host returns to bachelor status after ending his marriage with his third wife, Marta.
The paper said Circuit Judge Sandra Taylor "issued the final judgment Dec. 21 and sealed the 22-page settlement agreement, according to Monroe County (Key West) Circuit Court records."
Marta, 45, a former aerobics instructor, had been married to the country's most famous radio host for 10 years. She will return to using her former name, Marta Maranda, and no longer use the Limbaugh name.
The paper added that "Limbaugh reportedly has been dating CNN anchor Daryn Kagan since August, and media speculation has run rampant as to whether the 42-year-old will become the fourth Mrs. Limbaugh."
Limbaugh's spokesman was not available for comment to the the Daily News.
Rush's divorce comes as no surprise to his 20 million regular weekly listeners. Last June, Rush informed his listeners that he and Marta were going their separate ways.
That's true.
Actually, the only reason I posted this article was because he originally announced his separation on his show.
I doubt it on both counts.
LOL, you're correct. When I become famous I guess I'll be referred to as one of my former jobs. (The job I had when I was 16): Lurking in Kansas, former Krystal's cook, ...
Is his new girlfriend a lib? If she is, that's gotta be tough for Rush.
I would think living with Rush would be hard because he would always think he is right in an argument. Be hard to win your point over him.
When someone is divorced 3 times do you always think it is the ex's problem??
Maybe its me. But women always seem to get a different type of coverage in the press.
Example 1: Male executive being led in to the courtroom.... "Michael Thomas looked solemn as he was led into the courtoom and greeted by hundreds of journalists and on-lookers."
Example 2: Female executive being led into the courtroom: ... "MICHELLE Thomas entered the courtroom today in a blue Armani suit with black pumps. Sporting a new hair do, she waived to the hundreds of journalists and well wishers on the sidewalk."
Question:
Are you allowed to cast stones with the plank in your eye?
Yes I agree, he could have waited.
I thought Rush made his announcement on a Friday?
Reagan died on a Saturday, if I'm not mistaken? So Rush wouldn't have spoken of it until Monday. I still have that monologue.
Maybe someone knows for sure.
I know. But there is a huge difference between the one filing for divorce and the one who wants to try to save the marriage. I've seen way too many successful fellers dump their "stay at home mom" wives for the young hottie they work with. It disgusts me.
Divorce is never final.
Would there be any point to saying an unqualified "till death do us part" the third time around? The fourth? :-)
One of the things that I found curious about Marta, she didn't seem to have custody of her kids. I recall many times that Rush would mention that her kids were visiting.
I think she looks like one of those women --"Mother Gin Sling"-- who ran the gambling houses and/or brothels in 1930's Shanghai.
I missed this whole thing till now. Had noticed Rush pause a few times lately before giving personal advice to callers, wondered what that was about. It is a private matter but I do not think much of Kagan. Yes, Marta looked way cuter, smarter and more sincere.
He did. It was the same day that Rush narrated some of the events of President Reagan's memorial service. If I remember correctly, he did it at the end of the show. There was a thread about the timing of Rush' announcement.
I wish Rush well.
I believe they were grown.... so did not live with them.
Rush did the Reagan monologue on 6-7-04.
Wonder when he announced his separation?
Now that you mention it, I vaguely remember that too. I guess I thought they were all grown and out of the house. Rush also doesn't strike me as someone who is interested in having kids. Which is actually a good thing for him, IMNSHO.
They were in college just a couple of years ago. They were married for ten years.
