I just heard Tony Snow say he has colon cancer.

Ok, sir, you've got to get this operation thing over fast, and then I selfishly request that you get back to work pronto. I can't imagine not getting my Tony Snow fix on Saturday mornings. I wake up to you (that's my sleep a little later day). You are a delight, on the conservatives' side, a religious man, and believe me, you have the best wishes of all the Freepers on this thread. Expecting to see you back on TV and hear you on the radio in the very near future. The glass is half full....
The mortality rate in the US for colon cancer is 19% while in Canada and Europe it is about twice as high/ So much for socialized medicine

As a side note I listen to him live thru my computer at work, thanks to a company that pipes in FNC and CNN and radio stations thru the firewall for the employees, whatta country (and company).
Everyone that hasn't had their colonoscopy, please get one scheduled. It's not a difficult test, and you get a day off work to do it.
Early detection is key! Many cases can be cured BEFORE they become cancer.

Oh gosh, Tony. Someone who's aware that I'm madly in love with you called to tell me the news and I got so very frightened. But after reading everything about your early diagnosis/good prognosis, I feel a lot better. And tallying up how many prayers are being said for you by all these people of so many different faiths just here in freeperland alone, I'm not only sure you're gonna come out of this OK, I think it's highly doubtful you'll ever even get a head cold again.
WOW! Look how long your thread is! There hasn't been this much activity generated so quickly on a topic since the glory days of Monica & Bill. I think it's safe to say that similar news about Chris Wallace (in re cancer, not an intern) wouldn't have generated the same response. I mean, I assume he's an OK guy (it's not his fault he's not you, for heaven's sake), but I really wouldn't know since I quit watching Sundays after you left.
Just in case, though, I'll definitely be sure to toss my two cents into the prayerstream for you as well. Luckily, there're a lot of holy days of obligation coming up & I'm even going to call out my super-duper gonzo gun for you: a prayer directly to St. Anthony of Padua which I've taken great care all my life to reserve only for extra-special reasons or extreme circumstances.
And I guess you can tell your wife that even though I've always been supremely ticked off at her for snatching away The Perfect Man before I could get to him, I will say extra prayers for her, because, judging how I felt when I heard, I cannot begin to imagine the sheer panic she must be in even knowing that you guys caught it early & the odds are so good.
OK. So that's settled. You're going to be fine, your wife & kids will be fine. Unfortunately, however, it seems that now I've got a serious problem and the prognosis is not particularly promising: there is a significant, statistically elevated possibility that I will die of profound embarrassment because I just found out that you're a freeper of longstanding status.
YIKES! I do truly hope you never read any of the threads in the past on which you were a topic of discussion where I might have made a slobbery mess by gushing excessively in an unseemly way about you. If you did, I extend my sincerest apologies and I promise to offer up my extreme mortification when I talk to St. Anthony on your behalf.
