I tremble for my country when I reflect that Obama beat Keyes.
But such is called for in Scripture. Those who refuse to repent are to be cut off. Sometimes one needs to feel the
pain of being cut off before they can repent. In American history afte rThomas Paine wrote his blasphemous Age of Reason,1794, he was cut off. He was forced to flee to
Europe and lived the rest of his wretched life in exile--
most of those who had supported him before that book refused to even speak to him-after. And before he died he
lamented at ever having published that book. Alan Keyes feels no greater, nor less pain than ANY whose children are
caught in that web of homosexual deciet. IMO he has made the only choice open to a Christian -if the reports are true. And only God knows if the girl will be cut off forever.
I've already posted the exegesis on what Jesus said chapter and verse. You'll have to fill me in on this vague "Paul said".
"the "acceptance" of homosexuality is a relatively new phenomenon"
So is:
1) human flight
2) antibiotics
3) interracial marriage
4) freedom from slavery
5) the fight against racism
6) capitalism (by your 4000 year scale)
7) spongebob
There's more to the bible than homosexuality being a sin, and that's what's really defined our civilization. Homosexuality affects a very small percentage of our population, and many of its members are that way for a variety of reasons.
Regarding "last gasp of a dying culture": I'd say that allowing abortions would be on that list. Another thing would be any kind of tyrany, or corruption in the government. Homosexual marriage is the last gasp of a dying custom, and I'll grant that there are serious issues there to contend with. It might be better for gay activists if they stuck to "civil unions".
"Sounds to me like you condon homosexuality and the way you talk your probably one so I will pray for you and her to see the light."
Just because I don't drop to my knees and pray for the souls of homosexuals doesn't mean I drop to my knees AS a homosexual. Your a bit freaked out by homosexuals, I understand it, but you have nothing to fear. They pay their taxes just like us, they shop and contribute to the economy, they hold the door for you if your hands are full, they play with puppies, etc. Just like us. And don't date the way we do.
You were the first to use derogatory ad hominems, you little worm, so stuff that stupid remark back in your mouth.
How many whites would this tax plan include?
Obviously, for you, slavery is all about race. For myself and Keyes it is about inhumanity and injustice.
Keyes played right into the hands of the reparations sharks with his "tax break" idea.?
The plan he proposed would make those "reparations sharks" choke. Not a single one would endorse it. It was meant to take the steam out of their sails and as long as any Republican supports it it would do just that. No liberal would ever support it because the results would confirm the efficacy of conservative principles and expose the failure and harm of liberal policies.
Tax breaks based on race are racial preferences. Period.
The fact that that flatly contradicts the unequivocal statement Dr. Keyes made about it makes your statement a purely racist thing to say.
Poor deluded child. Let this be a lesson to the absentee fathers out there. Look to your children's well-being first, lest they be led astray by the freaks.
It's hard to deal with such a substantive point-by-point rebuttal as this. Where did you find the time to do all that research?
You don't have to believe what I say, but the fact that Keyes got NO traction indicates that his idea went over with conservatives like a lead balloon.
But, you are free to persist in your delusions about Keyes' proposal.
That's not true and if you had read what I posted quoting Dr. Keyes you would know that.
But a simple Google search using the key words Keyes, Alan, Reparations should resolve any remaining doubts you may have.
Sometimes you have to do more work than that. I did a Google search and failed to find Alan Keyes own webpage within the first 3-4 pages of Google. Nothing but conservative carping for the most part. No substantive rebuttals. I prefer to judge a man's words by reading his words not what someone else says he meant.
I didn't see or hear that. Even though you have zero credibility I'll give the benefit of the doubt that it happened. So what? Liberals hate the idea because it promotes tax-breaks (that work) and steals an issue from them. A lot of conservatives, like you, see it as a matter of race or are otherwise too willfully ignorant to understand what Keyes is saying. Or why.
...the fact that Keyes got NO traction indicates that his idea went over with conservatives like a lead balloon.
Again, that's a meaningless observation. Every criticism I've heard shows either a lack of understanding of conservatism or Dr. Keyes plain english, or both.
Very imporatnt to remember. Thank you for posting it.
We pray for the Keyes family and for the daughter. We need to remember the parable of the prodigal son as well.
Fine.
The bigger challenge and question is why would someone who is so close the God, have a child schooled in a Godly manner, raised in a home where God appears to be pinnacle, churched in the same manner and know since she was an early teen that she was gay (in her own words).
I know that she's young and could have a change of heart ergo Franklin Graham or the Jane Doe in Roe v Wade.
Why would Alan use her during his campaign with colors on (photos were displayed here when this first came up last fall) and then suddenly decide to cut her off?
I'm all for tough love. But I also believe that you still have there and the child know it in some way and some form. To completely shut one out is going too far. There are many sins. How and where do you draw the line between what you let pass and where you draw a line in the sand.
I've brougth this up elsewhere on this tread. No one has taken the time to address it. I bet there's more there than meets the eye.
Well, I heard him speak last year before the elections and he specifically said he was a supporter of the President. Great moment!
You still haven't posted Dr. Keyes words that show how he was "judging VP Cheney for loving his daughter" so that others can see it for themselves.
If you want to see a "conservative" spin lies into truths like a liberal just mention Alan Keyes.
