WPT to Air Postcards From Buster Episode Withdrawn by PBS
Feb. 9, 2005
For More Information:
Michael Bridgeman, (608) 265-3855
James Steinbach, (608) 263-1232
Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) will air the "Sugartime" episode of Postcards From Buster at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27.
"We've reviewed the program and believe it is consistent with Wisconsin Public Television's mission to educate diverse audiences of children and adults," said James Steinbach, director of programming and production.
The episode was withdrawn from distribution by PBS after some objected to content believed to be inappropriate for children. The series producers have made the episode available to stations to air at their discretion.
"We also respect the right of parents to make viewing choices for their own families, so that's why we've scheduled it at a time when parents can decide if and how they want their children to watch the program," Steinbach said.
WPT regularly airs Postcards From Buster at 3 p.m. weekdays. Like all episodes of the series, Steinbach said, "Sugartime" focuses on the children. Postcards From Buster involves a cartoon rabbit traveling around the country and interacting with children and their families. These families are real people, shown in live-action footage, talking about their lives.
The Feb. 27 broadcast focuses on maple sugaring in Vermont where Buster meets children from two families who have two mothers, a situation that has raised objections from some. Steinbach said that most calls to WPT have supported airing the program.
Steinbach said Postcards From Buster is designed to help children understand and appreciate the rich and varied cultures that make up the United States, and to support the language skills of elementary school-age children for whom English is a second language.
Different episodes have profiled children from backgrounds including a Hmong family in Wisconsin.
Buster has met children living in a variety of family structures, including traditional two-parent households, children splitting time between divorced parents, children living with grandparents and children living with single parents.
National PBS dropped this show like a hot potato. But Wisconsin Public Television thinks its OK to target your kids for molester.
Most parents will miss the announcement and the TV will stay tuned to WPT
Theres a big outrage for J Jackson having a bare a breast at the superbowl. But not for this!
Time to contact your State Reps., FCC, WPT and federal reps. To stop this targeting of children and make confused kids easier targets for seduction. And the stealth corruption and undermineing of parents.
For those of you who dont have kids. Buster is from the show Arthur. A show for kids from 2-8 ( and up)
And what pun would that be?
I have three kids! Do you know how many time & years I have had to listen to Sillyville!
My youngest just got out of those shows. I have see Arthur many times.
As many parents know. Kids brains are not only sponges but steel traps ( let the wrong word slip and see how fast they pick it up!)
See the subliminal line of the show. Young children will not understand it but they will latch onto Two Mommies?? (snap)
You cant have a discussion with a 3 year old on this. You will only reinforce and play the game of the sodomites.
More and more of this will show up in childrens program so by the time there older. Some will be totally confused. And very open the predatory suggestions. Which is just what the recruiters want.
Less you think Im some from hick from the sticks of WI.
I have been around the world, lived & worked for 14 years in CA SF Bay Area and worked 5 in SF.
I have seen first hand whats the true nature of this beast.
I urge everyone to ask your congress critter to defund 'em. NOW.
BUMP
We are so special here in Oregon. Oregon Public Broadcasting is planning to show this same episode everyday (except Sundays) for two weeks straight.

I think we need to light a fire under the FCC & W
No PBS & WPT have a number of great shows on. Its a heck of a lot better then network.
What needs to be done is Fire some people And some prosecution of these people.
People have been prosecuted for taking a cute photo of the kid in the tub. Yet they allow this trash to be pushed on kids.
PBS does indeed have some good shows....but in todays market place they have been replaced by the Discovery Channel, A&E, History Channel, Travel Channel etc. The is no reason to TAX me to fund what is little more than the propaganda wing of the DNC.
"To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical." --Thomas Jefferson: Statute of Religious Freedom, 1779
By review of the broadcast schedule from the link posted in #7 above, it appears that PBS plans to run the kiddie-homo-recruiting episode many more times than any of the other episodes. Why?
It disturbs me that people continually condemn shows or movies on the flimsiest of evidence, without having seen them. It was the same with "The Passion of the Christ."
"Postcards from Buster" is a series in which the animated hero visits real-life kids and their families across America. He has visited with Evangelical Christian families, Orthodox Jewish families and both Christian and Muslim Arab-Americans. There's no homosexual agenda involved in his visiting a couple of families in Vermont headed by two women -- who probably, as far as ordinary kids watching are concerned, would come across as just a couple of friends sharing a house, like in the old "Kate and Allie" sitcom.
It's true that I haven't seen this particular episode either, so I might be wrong about its inoccuousness (inoccuosity?). But having written several other episodes of the series, I can certainly testify that the show as a whole is about as pro-family values as you can get.
Sesame Street has been been homo friendly for years. It's employs a lot of them and the gay agenda spills out onto the screen from time to time.
You must admit that once the show's pro-diversity bona fides were established the next step was for Buster to drop in on a lesbian family. Many people at this forum are angry at the steady drip, drip, drip against traditional family values. Water wears down rocks over time.
Last fall the voters made a statement about gay marriage. Why should they fund subversive media organizations?

Funded by WI. tax payers...
Time to end the farce that is 'public' television and radio
imo
But do they have Red Green on any of those ;-)
LOL Now don't put me in the place of defending PBS on a thread Im trying to flame
them;-)
It's part of the normalization of homosexuality.
When I was a kid I never heard of two men or two women raising children. It would have set off my weird-o-meter. "Dad, how come that kid has two moms?" I don't want my kids going there yet. Both of my kids watch this show. If they saw this episode and asked me that question, I'd be ripping.
gnosys From CA Member Since Feb 13, 2005There's sure lots of pro-homosexual activists posting on threads exposing the homosexual agenda; they're on a disinformation/ridicule campaign about the truth of their targeting little children/school children to accept their lifestyle as normal.
