Heads up ( no pun) WI FReepers time for a FReep!

National PBS dropped this show like a hot potato. But Wisconsin Public Television thinks it’s OK to target your kids for molester.

Most parents will miss the announcement and the TV will stay tuned to WPT

There’s a big outrage for J Jackson having a bare a breast at the superbowl. But not for this!

Time to contact your State Reps., FCC, WPT and federal reps. To stop this targeting of children and make confused kids easier targets for seduction. And the stealth corruption and undermineing of parents.

For those of you who don’t have kids. Buster is from the show Arthur. A show for kids from 2-8 ( and up)

There's been a lot of brujah about this particular episode of 'postcards from buster', so I did some research, and hunted up a tape of that episode and watched it. Here's what I found.

'Postcards from buster' is a spin-off of the Arthur TV show. I remember my little sister watching that show - Arthur's an aardvark or something, and his best friend is buster - a rabbit. This 'Postcards' show is about buster traveling around with his dad - his dad's a pilot - and buster stays with different families his dad is friends with. Its an odd sort of combination of cartoon and real life shots to make it appear to kids as if a cartoon rabbit is interacting with real people. Buster tapes his adventures on a video camera and mails tapes to his mom. Buster is apparently from a single parent home, and lives with his father.

In this episode, buster goes to stay with a family, and he plays with the kids and the dogs. The children describe their parents as 'partners' (once) and at one point there is a shot of a family portrait and the two women are in it with the children. Later in the episode, in another home, buster and the children are talking to a woman in another home, and there is another woman in the background, in the kitchen. That, as far as I could tell, was the entirety of the show's 'homosexual' content. Humorously enough, at one point, buster asks the kids what he should get his mother for mother's day (I inferred that because the kids have two moms, they'd probably know lol).

Honestly, though I do see a lot of homosexual normalization bravo sierra on television, I don't see this in that category. There was nothing insidious or wrong in the show - the issue of homosexuality wasn't even touched on - it was a background issue. And, in reality, gays do exist - and your kids are going to encounter homosexuality in the world - if you're worried about it, talk to them about it. This show, IMO, does little or nothing to advance the 'homosexual agenda', but rather is a cutesy little show about a rabbit kid meeting people from around the country and seeing how they live.

Finally, I urge all of you who live in WI, or any other state, to voice your opinion to your local PBS station - you own the station, so tell them what you want to see.

By review of the broadcast schedule from the link posted in #7 above, it appears that PBS plans to run the kiddie-homo-recruiting episode many more times than any of the other episodes. Why?

It disturbs me that people continually condemn shows or movies on the flimsiest of evidence, without having seen them. It was the same with "The Passion of the Christ."

"Postcards from Buster" is a series in which the animated hero visits real-life kids and their families across America. He has visited with Evangelical Christian families, Orthodox Jewish families and both Christian and Muslim Arab-Americans. There's no homosexual agenda involved in his visiting a couple of families in Vermont headed by two women -- who probably, as far as ordinary kids watching are concerned, would come across as just a couple of friends sharing a house, like in the old "Kate and Allie" sitcom.

It's true that I haven't seen this particular episode either, so I might be wrong about its inoccuousness (inoccuosity?). But having written several other episodes of the series, I can certainly testify that the show as a whole is about as pro-family values as you can get.

Sesame Street has been been homo friendly for years. It's employs a lot of them and the gay agenda spills out onto the screen from time to time.

"We've reviewed the program and believe it is consistent with Wisconsin Public Television's mission to educate diverse audiences of children and adults," said James Steinbach, director of programming and production. This is nothing less than the Homosexual propagandizing of our children...what the heck is a DIVERSE audience OF CHILDREN?

Funded by WI. tax payers...

Time to end the farce that is 'public' television and radio

imo

Being a parent in Waukesha WI, I am disgusted at this. The last I heard was this episode was retracted. Our beloved PBS obviously cannot represent the fundamental morals of my community. THEY CAN NOT!

I sent the following to PBS to express my opinion. Please do a justice to the children of Wisconsin and EVERYWHERE and send your comments to the link above. Thank you in advance from the people of Wisconsin.

I believe the comments expressed by James Steinbach, "We've reviewed the program and believe it is consistent with Wisconsin Public Television's mission to educate diverse audiences of children and adults," are not representative of the parents of Wisconsin. If this episode is aired I assure you that PBS will be blocked on my TV from my 6 and 8 year old daughters. In addition, I will lobby to all parents at my children's elementary to do the same. Very sincerely, . . .

wake up people and smell the conspiracy!

SUGARTIME, as in SWEETNESS NOW, the radical proliferation of homosexuality in america group... the dubious connections are so obvious.... and BUSTER, please, i won't even go into the flaming conotations that that implies...

we must stop this intrusion into our steel trap minds and call this inseptuos episode for what it is... simply a thirty minute abduction of our children's minds that will dilute all we've drummed into them for years and how they will never listen to us again as long as a cartoon rabbit promotes the homosexual lifestyle of raising kids and making syrup... though these lesbians are very attractive lesbians makes no difference, what they are doing is immoral... syrup making should be left to the hetereosexuals, not logcabin lesbians...\sarcasm

Showing carpet-munchers shacking up is not "diversity". It is Sex Ed for toddlers. In other words, it is Pedophilia.

Steinbach said Postcards From Buster is designed to help children understand and appreciate the rich and varied cultures that make up the United States, and to support the language skills of elementary school-age children for whom English is a second language.

Excuse me, but when did someone choosing to have sex with the same gender become "cultural"? Am I just not getting it?

I would have no problem with the programming; if it was not funded by tax payers and if any parents who let their children view it were prosecuted for Child Endangerment.

"We've reviewed the program and believe it is consistent with Wisconsin Public Television's mission to educate diverse audiences of children and adults," said James Steinbach, director of programming and production.

"Immediately afterward, we will air the Old Testament program that is traditionally shown each day," Steinbach added. /sarcasm
