I agree with them. (Goodness, is that the sound of Hell freezing over?)
The Constitution says the Federal government is supposed to secure the borders, but since they're not, they should have to reimburse the states.
I still haven't figured out why the states haven't collectively sued the feds for 'breach of contract'.
THEN maybe they would close the d@mn borders and stop the invasion of all the 'armies of one'!

Now this one needs discussion...on the one hand, a Democrat Governor is asking for an expansion of Federal spending. OTOH, the federal government has said they are going decrease what they spend to secure our border with a less than friendly nation.
Which side is right, here?

I notice these liberal type governors never ask for more enforcement, just more money.

I'm on the state side.
If the feds won't pay for it then Governor Napalitano should collect & transport all of the illegals in state prisons/jails and physically deposit them in Congressman Kolbe's, Pastor's, Grijalva's, Flake's, Schadegg's, Renzi's, Frank's, Hayworth's, and Senator McCain's, Kyle's offices and let them deal with them directly.
The message would get across on the problem and what a photo op/news story that would be.

If States' Rights were seriously regarded we wouldn't have so many of these lose-lose choices.
By the way - why aren't we banned yet? I hear it's the latest rage.

She's walking a tightrope with governor's elections next year. She needs the middle to win, and the middle is solidly anti-illegal-immigration.
That's why Prop 200 passed with 58% support, 44% among Hispanics.

I still haven't figured out why the states haven't collectively sued the feds for 'breach of contract'. Because they would be hypocrites. Unfortunately must of out southern border states are packed with politicians falling over themselves to out pander to illegal aliens. California is the best example but AZ and NM are not far behind. Many of their state policies encourage illegal immigration.
This is just a money grab from the feds. If they really wanted to demonstrate their disproval they would start deporting the aliens themselves. There is no law that prevents them from releasing illegal aliens At the border. But that will never happen.
