February 12, 2005--In a very early look at the 2008 Presidential Election, Senator Hillary Clinton leads Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice 47% to 40%. At the same time, Secretary Rice leads Senator John Kerry 45% to 43%.
The survey was conducted January 29-30, before Dr. Rice's first international tour as Secretary of State. Since the survey was taken, Americans have grown more optimistic about the situation in Iraq.
Fifty-one percent (51%) of voters believe that Senator Clinton is politically liberal while 27% say she is a moderate. For Senator Kerry, 46% said liberal and 31% moderate.
Secretary of State Rice is viewed as conservative by 43% and moderate by 28%.
Among married Americans, Rice has a very slight lead over Clinton. However, the New York Senator leads 55% to 32% among those who are not married.
Rice leads among Investors, 50% to 40% while Clinton leads among non-Investors 53% to 30%.
In a match-up with Senator Kerry, Rice does better among men than among women.

They're certainly more moderate than Hillary.
the difference is that condi isn't running for president (yet)
You must be quite upset that your heroine, Lynn Stewart, is going to rot in jail.
Any combination to keep helping your right-wing-fascist party steal another election!!
Better a fascist than an Al-Queda lover like yourself.
"the difference is that condi isn't running for president (yet)"
She has already said she will not run for any office in 2008
I wish she would but she said it won't happen.
Here troll, your so called hero
Hanoi Kerry was still a USNR officer while he:
gave false hearsay testimony to Congress
negotiated with the enemy
helped the US lose a war
abetted in the deaths of millions
created a hostile environment for all servicemen

I was about to slam another poll taken outside of a national campaign four years in advance, one where Hill will have the advantage of name recognition after over a decade in everyone's face, and erased everything I wrote.
This poll has some worth. 51% consider Hill a Liberal! 51-52% voted for Bush. Think this is a coincidence? I don't.
Kerry just got off a national campaign and Condi hasn't had anywhere near the exposure, and she's beating him? Ouch!
Hill is ONLY 7 points up over a woman most Americans barely recognize?
Hill is only topping 47%? Add a point or two and you reach the max a Dem candidate has gotten in over 20 years. Bill with 49%.
Interesting numbers...
I just love these comedy threads.
I looked it up...ONE person with only Cabinet experience in government, and no previous elected office, won the Presidency. It was Hoover! And he was Secty of Commerce under Coolidge prior to that!
That's right--Bush had a lot of liabilities that likely cost him a considerable amount of votes (Iraq, lack of WMD's, economy, gas prices, bad 1st debate, etc). It's silly to think that the voting as it happened in this past election will stay "static" 4 years from now. The republican may win OH by an even bigger margin, and if they don't, they may win one of the upper midwest states that's been increasingly trending gop to offset such a loss.
I'll be too old to rebel ...
Dr. Rice would crush Old Crusty in the debates.
Is she pro affirmative actions? PRo Abortion? Gun control?
She has a great biography and is brillant no doubt but first we have to know where she stands on the issues!
