..since churchil lied about his ethnicity (not indian) and got his job based on ethnic content..can't he be sued for fraud and required to return any and all earnings in his position in public employment?? Many of the tribal elders on numerous tribes say he's a fraud and not indian.
Not knowing what is involved in each case I just saw a news brief about a gal named "stewart" (not martha) that was convicted of helping terrorism per comments she made or something .......what's the difference as to comments by Churchill ?

I saw O'Reilly too and heard the Native American Indian professor speak, but I also forgot his name.
He was reasoned and objective and his obvious patriotism took some of the sting off the Ward Churchill mess/story. I hope Churchill will be fired soon.

Churchill is in the COINTELPRO docs as someone associated with the Weathermen/SDS... I need to peruse the docs a little closer, though...
Which part? His Weathermen connections? Have you ever read any of the declassified COINTELPRO stuff from the 60s and 60s? If not, you should - Churchill is in there, and it's interesting reading so far...
I hope people realize that academia is infested with Churchill's attitudes. He's just the latest to be exposed. I'm local, and I've seen only one faculty member from CU (Paul Campos) come out and publicly excoriate the pretend Indian.
Uh-huh. What a blithering idiot. But he does give some room to the rest of us to express ourselves in similar terms.
I'm going on CSpan to give a speech about how careless Indians are with their spirits, who are now terrorists and ought to be exorcized because every single ill in the world can be laid at Indian ghosts' feet (if any). Then I'll write books and movie scripts and show those rotten Indian spirits how powerful I am, how righteous, how moral and pure. I'll pound my chest and say, "Me good, you bad, Oooooga-Booooga ." That'll showem!
This Churchill fellow is just as childish, even more so.
