If there were merely 10 million illegals nation wide no one would be fussing. Try 10 million in Texas, 10 million in Cali, and so on, and the issue would becomes more apparent and costly.
Not to mention 34 billion a year ripped off by Mexico alone, what about the billions shipped out to prop up other economies by illegals from all the rest of the world?

Why doesn't Mexico just let us annex it and be done with all this?
If they find their sovernety so special, then they should respect ours and follow our rules.

The one consistent rant in the L.A. Times was (is, I suppose -- happily haven't read it in a month) the public outcry over illegal immigration. 4 out of 5 letters consistently bashed Bush -- I don't call it Al Jazeera West for nothin' -- but 9 out of 10 railed against the Times' laissez-faire stance on illegals and mocked their bleeding-heart story attempts.
Fascinating.
