"I think HRH comes with the marriage. Camilla gets it because they are married. Diana didn't get to keep it when they divorced. If Camilla and Charles divorced, no doubt she would lose it too..."

I would think that because Camilla and Charles were involved in an adulterous affair for many years, and the fact that Camilla is divorced, would make her not fit for the title HRH. If they want to marry, I hope they are happy together. Charles should let William become King.

How irrelevant is their Monarchy in GB anyway?

As far as I know it has no impact on the Packers at all. In GB that renders it trivia

Prince Harry is the one that showed up at a party in Nazi garb.

If Diana was a whore, then what does that make Charles- who took vows before God one day, and slept with another women the very next- and continued the affair to present day?

So you're saying that Diana was at fault for having affairs because her husband was unfaithful? Give me a frickin break. Even a Prince bows down before God when he takes marriage vows. A title does not make him exempt from wedding vows.

I'm glad for you that you have your life mapped out so successfully that you'd never succumb to adulterous affairs while your spouse carried a torch both emotionally and physically for another.

So you admit that Diana slept around? That makes her a whore. The circumstances don't matter. Just because Prince Charles was a jerk doesn't give her the right to commit adultery against him. If he commited adultery against her first she should have divorced him before messing around with someone else. Since she didn't that makes her a whore.

No judgement involved, just facts and definitions

Unbelievable! You're excusing the Prince by saying it's ok he had an affair with Camilla because he always loved her? For the love of Pete! Charles stood up in a church and sinned against God by taking a vow he knew he would break- the very next day! Diana may have been innocent and naive, but she more than liked believed the vows she took. Charles is by far the worst here because he knowingly stood before the Church (one he's supposed to be the protector of) and lied.

Remember Edward VIII and Wallace Simpson?

Look at that pic of Camilla Parker-Bowles and tell me she wouldn't turn into another Wally if Chuck abdicated for her. I refer you to the stories about Eddie and Wally's later years together in the Bahamas and France.

Chuck and Camilla were hot for each other once, but Camilla screwed the dog when she jumped off and got married before Chuck was ready. Point is, a) Camilla took the initiative the first time around, by telling Chuck to stuff it, b) I think she's taken the initiative ever since, which c) makes her the aggressor (aggressix? -- LOL!) just like Wally was.

What does that spell for Chucky, if for some reason (plenty of reasons!) he gets passed over by the Queen in favor of Prince William?

Camilla may have to settle for Duchess of York for life. Will she be a happy person then? Look at the photo and tell me what you think.

She was a bottomless pit of emotional neediness and would have never *ever* been happy.

Live a few years yourself in a place that regards human emotion as so much mildew on the royal porcelain, and then tell us that, in just that judgmental tone.

Why is this news? And, who cares.

Royal family are a bunch of parasites feeding off their country men's taxes.

Oh I have a number of choice words for him. In a way, I'm not surprised at all that some here would blame Diana and approve of Charles' adulterous ways.

Yeah, I thought the story about his meeting illicitly with Camilla the very next day was out of bounds, but if it's true......yeah, that changes everything and puts the onus on Charles, Camilla, and HRM, who insisted on the virgin thing.

Remind me why Camilla and Charles didn't get together as a couple in the first place? Was that the Palace?

I think she's like his step-sister and/or niece. Isn't that the way it is with the royal family?

"Diana was a young lady who loved the glitz and glamour of being part of the house of Hanover, without the responsability."

I don't know about that. The Spencer family are pretty darn close to royalty themselves. Diana's father was the Eighth Earl of Spencer and her brother, Charles, is the Ninth. Spencers were and continue to be major landowners in Britain and their family seat (Althorp) contains the second most rare and expensive art collections in the kingdom. The Spencer children were childhood friends of Elizabeth II's progeny. Prince Charles dated Diana's older sister when Diana was a young girl. My point is that the Spencers have their own money which is quite substantial. I rather believe that she loved Charles. The trappings of royalty was something that was not too removed from her own life from birth.

Aside: the Spencers are more English than are the Windsors!

Beautiful post Sally. Says it all, doesn't it. May God bless Diana's soul. Peace.
