St. Paul - A man who allegedly put a 13-year-old girl in a dog kennel for days at a time, hit her, read her diary, and strip searched her, was charged this week with unreasonable restraint of a child.

Eric Bare, 42, of St. Paul, admitted to child protection workers that he did lock the teenager in the kennel on two different occasions, once for three consecutive days, and once for seven consecutive days. Bare said that he "fixed up the kennel nice" and that it was "a suitable temporary living arrangement."

Bare is not the girl's father, but she called him dad, according to charges.

And "strip searching" a minor girl is molestation.

Geez.
I need to go spit.

And I'm still waiting for an apology from adding your comments to my statement ...creating a misconception. That's slander.

Unfortunately you are so right. I could write a book on some of the horrors stepfathers and live in boyfriends of stupid desperate women inflicted on the children.

The first one (...1319870/posts) came back: "file not found." The scond one went to an entirely different thread. I didn't think you were meaning to include ALL of FR in your comment.

Apologize for what? What is slanderous about being critical of your remark, esepcially in light of the seriousness of the topic of child abuse and your suggestion that "...men think this is OK to do." When you made a comment that denigrated men as a general class, you deserved to be called on it. And that's what I did.

A woman has to be a blithering idiot to shack up with her kids still in the house.

Paging Dr. Laura Schlessinger......

You added to my comments like it was what I said. THAT is slanderous. I'm sure you wouldn't put up with that if someone were to twist your words and insinuate things off of your statements.

But I know obviously have no character and would never apologize anyway....I feel sorry for your spouse.

The names of the threads were "Men want Mommy" and "Why women cheat"...look them up.

And something "... Man Enough for a Republican Woman"

Geez, I thought the woman bashing threads were sorta a given around here.

Like the cute PMS one going on right this minute :)

(Hey, it goes with the territory, I just give back as good as I get ;) )

You added to my comments like it was what I said.

Not to my knowledge, I just cut and pasted your words.

...are said that he "fixed up the kennel nice" and that it was "a suitable temporary living arrangement."
From some of the women hating threads that have been going on in here, I'm inclined to think that most men think this is OK to do. Course the 'cage' would be the house that they fixed up 'nice'....

Point out what I added.

Regarding your latest post to me...you're just being snotty, now.

And if a woman wants to get remarried, she shouldn't involve her children in her relationship until it gets to the point where marriage is a serious option. And then she needs to see how they interact.

So...in your opinion...a woman (or man) should give her (or his) heart to a prospective mate...get 100% emotionally involved...and then...and only them...find out if the mate and the children can handle each other?

Brilliance...talk about compounding the emotional distress on the single parent.

Sorry...I'm not meaning to sound hard or hateful...but this hits very close to home with me...my kids are my everything...that's why I am still single, and have not even been on dates for over 3 years.

I have made too many bad choices. I have been married 3 times...the children are from the last marriage...

I don't trust myself to pick a man to be around my children, but I do trust God to choose one for me!

My children will always be first in my life!

"So a woman who has been divorced through no fault of her own, is expected to spend the rest of her life alone Just because she has children?"

or, she could date and actually get married instead of shacking up with some dude she doesn't know.

maybe there should be a law that no single parent...male or female ...can have over night lovers....never, nada....just no.....

that would stop a lot of worthless custody battles because there are some who couldn't do without.....

even the male-loving Dr.Laura would agree to this....

Yuck! If for some reason my husband and I were no longer married (divorced, or worse, God forbid) I would be terrified to date anyone for fear of the weirdos. :( I've got (or will have soon) five boys!

I agree that the mother should be locked up also. She probably thought it was so cool to shack up and have the guy put her daughter in a kennel.

Your comment: You added to my comments like it was what I said.

I did not. You're reading something here that isn't. I do not slander you. I did not misquote you. I did not add anything to your statements. Everything I attributed to you was in italics and thus easy to delineate from my comments (which were not in italics).

You're very, very, very, very sensitive today...touchy would be a better description. Take a deep breath, calm down and check the veracity of what I have posted now and you'll see that there is no tampering with your comments to add something you did not say.

My hope is that you meet one of those really good guys...like my Dad. My Mom was a young widow with 4 kids,(ages 6, 8, 10, and 12) during the depression. A neighbor invited her out for an evening of bowling with the neighbor, her bf, and the bf's buddy.

My Mom agonized about starting to date again. (Her husband had been dead for 5 years). She decided to go. Long story short, the man she went out with that night married her, adopted her four children, then they proceeded to have 4 more, of which I was the oldest.

A better husband, father, and friend no one could have than the man my mother met on a blind date.
