Please add me to the NASCAR ping list.
I just signed up, I'm Hellbilly Racing can't wait to get going.
My wife holds the class B record at willow for a corvette she crew chiefed. We met at Sears Point.
I think auto racing is the purest form of being an American. Pure competition, rules to live by and let the best be first!
anybody remember the "old days"
this used to be the "Busch Clash of 19XX"
run on Sunday afternoon
barely got one hour tv time
after the race they had the 500 quals
I wanna see someone who thinks racing isn't a physical sport try to keep up with me in a 250cc shifter kart for more than 10 minutes without their head separating from thier shoulders and with both thumbs still attached.
I would have to borrow the kart from my buddy again, but he's mad at me 'cause I beat him too often.
I remember the Bush Clash.
I'm MORE than ready!! Thanks for the ping, Chef!! GO TONY!!!
That's what it was called when I was there in '79 and '80, back when my dad paid the bills.
Zowie a 250cc shifter cart is some serious getting around!
I met Mario Andretti once. The man has hands that are built from all of those years of steering a 200 mph car thats always wanting to get away from you. I thought my hands were big but his were big and extraordinarily muscled.
Most people have not got a clue as to how much exertion goes into driving a race car. A couple of laps in a shifter cart driven at any serious pace would have most people parked and exhausted after just a couple of laps.
Physically I can only do about 30 minutes on the hardest of cone courses, but the smile lasts for weeks. A small oval I could run for hours.
