"How in the world did they find out he was NCPAC?"
No one can figure that out.
What can I say other than the Governor had no knowledge whatsoever of any postings on FR. For the record, I offered to resign before being asked to do so. And, no, I have not spoken directly with the Governor about any of this.
The Baltimore Sun will be running a piece on this as well on Wednesday. They called Tuesday night and were ready to pin the whole thing on the Governor, and I couldn't let that happen because it simply isn't true. The Governor had no knowledge of anything involving O'Malley or the "rumors."
Also, the Baltimore Sun has a list of FReepers they read off to me to see if I was "also" posting under those screen names. I don't remember all of them, but CrushKerry was one.
It's been one wild ride, FRiends.

So you are admitting that what you did was wrong?
Why did you do it, then?

Well, good luck my friend. It's nice to see someone take the bullet. I'm not to up to speed on the whole rumor thing, but at least you did the honorable thing - something the Washington Post and the liberals will never understand.
Will you let us know how they outted you when you do get to the bottom of this? And hang in there. You've been around poltics long enough to know that things eventually blow over. It sucks now, but you'll land on your feet.

"It's been one wild ride, FRiends." It's not over yet. The MD Democratic Party is going to go all out to unseat Governor Ehlich in his bid for re-election.
They will leave no stone unturned in their quest. Fortunately, the quality of their prime candidate, hizzoner prissonified, is the best weapon in our camp at the moment.

Several of Steffen's co-workers said in interviews that he parachuted into agencies, set up an office with a statue of the grim reaper on his desk and began assembling lists of people who should be fired. True? If so, quite funny.

I guess it's time for a new freeper name, huh? :') I'm not sure what to make of this. I don't care for rumor threads but it wasn't yours. IMO, it shows character to be here tonight and stand up for your Gov though. Scary about your private e-mails. Take care.

Best wishes to you.
Had the pleasure of talking at length with Buckhead in D.C. during the Inaugural. His employers are unhappy with him, despite the fact that he was right and did legendary work.
A lot of fine work is done, by some very able and knowledgeable people, here on FR. Thank you for your efforts.

Sorry about all this, NCPAC. Hope a better door opens for you.
It sounds like the media is intimately involved in politics again, huh? - They seem only to be interested in free speech for liberals.

O'Malley is one of the greatest disappointments in Baltimore of our era.
How I remember the happiness of so many Baltimore citizens that finally they were getting rid of the hapless Schmoke for what seemed then to be a happening citizen bent on improving Baltimore, its crime, its appeal to business.
Only to have O'Malley become one of the biggest Dem shills in the country, selling his soul for that Baltimore bastian of dishonest Democrats, regularly thieving elections since I was a child.
It makes me despise O'Malley even more. Someone should tell him that the Dems have a plethora of handsome loud mouth shills. He'll go nowhere.
The Baltimore Sun's been after me too, a Sunspot subscriber almost a daily visitor to my Blog.
Although, hey, I'm nobody and I left Merryland a year and half ago because they tax the few working citizens they have left to death.
Now I've got Biden and he hates me too.

Good God, are they after FreeRepublic? How much do these people believe in free speech -- when it's not the free speech of the owners of the press?
