Thanks for this story. Very interesting. Not saying I buy it, but I've always been interested in the subject.

To assume that men in prehistoric settings could not observe the sun, the moon, and the stars is far fetched. Are we talkin' about the planets? Now that is another matter.

Heron says the earthly pyramids were Satan's attempt, via the Nephilim, to try to exalt himself... Except for the word "Satan," this sounds like what LDS missionaries tell me. Is it possible that's where this author came up with his "original" hypothesis?

People who actually believe what the Bible says and take most of it literally (especially the first 11 chapters of Genesis), are way ahead of the pack.
If someone does not accept the truth packed into those first 11 chapters of Genesis, they are on the wrong track, and will stay on the wrong track.
I have Bible commentaries written in the early 1900s which knew the truth about the Giants and many more incredible things only revealed in the Bible, before any modern book writer or story teller.

The only time you should not take the Bible literally, (just as it says), is when it is obviously speaking figuratively or when it is an unclear scripture which cannot possibly be taken literally without contradicting a clear scripture in the Bible.
Literal. That means Noah's flood happened just the way the Bible says it did.
Figurative, Psalm 91:4 "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust..."
Don't forget the rule of first mention. Don't start your doctrine somewhere in the middle of the Bible and make it overule earlier lines and precepts, (don't start in Ecclesiastes).
Do I understand the Bible perfectly, no, but I will study till God takes me home, just like the Bible tells me to.

Well, it's been a while since WingNutDaily went of the deep end, but it is something you can count on.

"OK, earthlings, who's up for
building a really big pyramind?"

This could be some kind of mix up with the Tower of Babel story. I don't recall a specific mention of the pyramids in LDS scriptures.

The "Ancients were not giants.
It's amazing how some try read into the bible what isn't there.
What book tries to reference, is the population following Adam in Genesis, but still the time when they lived in the garden of Eden before the "flood". Enoch was one of the ancients, who had followed God's ways, and one of the few who ascended into Heaven after a very long life. It's thought by some that this was a time when God's creation still lived in the initial form God created us as, his own image or spiritual form, the one that Adam was created as before "God gave him clothes of skin" If you look in the Gospels, it was Some of those ones who Jesus went into the other realm to preach to just after he was crucified and before his assent ion. Jesus said "He was there from the beginning".
This "land of the giants" is obviously a much different approach. Maybe it's something being spread around by people wishing to destroy Christian and Jewish beliefs in order to promote another belief, a belief in a ridiculous cult called Islam, where it's "Prophet" used a sword for "Profit", and told fabulous stories of Adam, being a "Giant" who was so tall that his head was in heaven, where he liked to listen to the angels sing. The Angels got upset about this, and complained to Allah, who then reduced his size. Even then, Adam's stride was such that every footprint he made while roaming the earth turned into a city, and the distance between them became a desert.
Adam fell on day, and bumped his head against heaven, rubbing of his hair creating a bald spot. He passed this gene down to all mankind of his lineage. ("falling" and thus bumping his head against "heaven", gives us a good idea where the Islamic heaven is).
Another question comes to mind (many do when reading the Hadith) is if Adam was the only man on earth at the time, who built these cities, and for what purpose were they when Adam was the only man on earth. Plus he was WAY WAY TO TALL to ever live in such tiny places.
Anyways, I think I've shed some light as to where this "land of the giants" bible interpretation is leading suckers toward.

Don't those brilliant Scientology folks believe that man was brought to Earth by space aliens who built the Pyramids?
That would explain Michael Jackson, James Carville, and Alan Colmes...but the pyramids?

Great Pyramid at the base is 365.2422 Hebrew cubits, the exact number of days in the solar year
Wow! How accurate the stones were made. Accuracy about 1/100 of an inch!
Come on. 4000 years ago the people weren't that dumb. Just because some people today are not able to imagine how they did it that doesn't means the ancient Egyptians were not able to do it.
