People who actually believe what the Bible says and take most of it literally (especially the first 11 chapters of Genesis), are way ahead of the pack.

If someone does not accept the truth packed into those first 11 chapters of Genesis, they are on the wrong track, and will stay on the wrong track.

I have Bible commentaries written in the early 1900s which knew the truth about the Giants and many more incredible things only revealed in the Bible, before any modern book writer or story teller.

The only time you should not take the Bible literally, (just as it says), is when it is obviously speaking figuratively or when it is an unclear scripture which cannot possibly be taken literally without contradicting a clear scripture in the Bible.

Literal. That means Noah's flood happened just the way the Bible says it did.

Figurative, Psalm 91:4 "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust..."

Don't forget the rule of first mention. Don't start your doctrine somewhere in the middle of the Bible and make it overule earlier lines and precepts, (don't start in Ecclesiastes).

Do I understand the Bible perfectly, no, but I will study till God takes me home, just like the Bible tells me to.

I admit that rationally I have trouble explaining or at times even accepting a strict Genesis account of, say, a "six day" origin. But to me it's all irrelevant, because I begin at Jesus and work forward and backward.

Either He is who He says He is, or not. All the evidence completely confirms He was. Therefore, Jesus believed in heaven, hell, angels, demons, Noah, the flood, Genesis, etc., and therefore they all must be accurate. End of story. Once Jesus is proved as the Man, then there really are no more arguments.

I have always believed that the nephilim were sired by fallen angels, and this was the chief reason for Noah's Flood. I read a book called The Omega Conspiracy, Satan's last assault on God's Kingdom. I doubt these two books differ on much.

AMEN!

Interestingly, the authentic Bible Codes [vs the far too short fly by night amateur variety that don't pass statistical muster etc] . . . the authentic Bible Codes seem to be--how to put it--packed uncommonly and most interestingly; most miraculously; most dramatically; most creatively; most artistically; with the greatest variety in those first 11 chapters of Genesis.

Also, I don't recall if it's just those first 11 chapters or all of Genesis has a statistical . . . how to describe it--a statistical array--a statistical pattern of letters that has statistical features--parameters very much uniqute to Genesis--that is--nothing close to that particular . . . set of parameters in the statistical pattern of the letters as they are in the surface text--nothing close to that pattern of parameters; pattern of letters has ever been found in any other Hebrew Text.

As best as I can recall, the experts speculate that it is because Genesis was designed with so many quality, unique, varied etc. authentic codes that the surface text array of letters had to fit such specialized, unique sets of parameters. But the phenomena has not been explained apart from that speculation.

AS I understand it, the frequencies of letters and their arrangement with respect to one another and other such parameters are all VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY! UNIQUE in at least those first 11 chapters of Genesis.

Anyway--I find it interesting to read what you've written. And it triggered this recollection from my reading about the Codes. I think the original doc is on the BIBLECODEDIGEST.COM site.

Thanks.
