As far as series go, I would have to vote for Firefly, Farscape, and Babylon 5, in no particular order. Each of these had outstanding writing and really good casts. Unfortunately, each of them were also doomed by extremely poor programming decisions. Moving the broadcasts around, deciding at the last moment to cancel them.
I have started to like the new version of Battlestar Galactica. I wasn't that impressed with the mini-series that introduced it, but the series itself has started to grow on me.

Jessica Alba was great in Dark Angel, so was Michael Weatherly who is now in NCIS, which is one my favorite TV shows. :)

Remember when the alien said "peace..no peace" and the president said "what do you want us to do"; the alien said "die". Hmmm..who does that remind you of today (besides communists? )
