Phil Hendrie Dropped from KFI
(February 7, 2005) After almost a decade with KFI, Phil Hendrie has been dropped from the station roster, according to KFI pd Robin Bertolucci. The John Ziegler Show will move into the 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. slot followed by George Noory until 5 a.m. Phil moves to KLAC 570AM, the new home for XTRA Sports.
Phil's show is syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks, which is owned by Clear Channel. KFI and KLAC are also part of the Clear Channel/LA cluster.

When it was built, you could hear KFI 640 in New Jersey some nights....now they are on a standby tower, with half the watts
Agreed!
What show could be worse than Coast to Coast?
Yikes! Talk about wierd and boring!
A lot? How about all?
The audience may only be 50% looney tunes, but the callers are 100%. I can't believe how bad Coast to Coast is and on every other station in the middle of the night. There is nothing entertaining for an insomniac. I am forced to listen to Atlanta (when I can get it) to re-runs of Hannity and Neal Boortz. Almost anything is better than Coast to Coast including fzzzzz.
You two can listen to Air America!
Thanks for the reply.
I listened to a lot of KFI (Rush, John & Ken, Mr KFI before he became Mr KABC, Hendrie) when I lived in SoCal in the 90s, but it sounds like the radio scene has changed a bit since then.
Seems to me anybody who can stand Noory, Hendrie or Art Bell is a lot better candidate for Err America than I am!
Note to Los Angeles and West Coast KFI listeners: As of Monday, February 21st, Coast to Coast AM will air live at 10pm and all night until 5am.
I meant to put you to sleep!
I listened to Air America last week. I cracked up in that these dopes don't know that Clear Channel is making money off them. Same "General Steel Building" commercials as every other station. For some reason I thought there would be lefty commercials.
Citizens Auxiliary Patrol is getting old. I am glad that C2C is on earlier, I get better reception here in OC of KFI than trying to get KOGO out of San Diego.
Did you know Phil Hendrie was the voice of the computer in TEAM AMERICA?
How many kilowatts it that station? I can pick up KFI (50,000 watts free channel) at night.
KTLK 1150 is 50k during the day, and 44k at night.
But many people say the signal points out to sea...
Darn. Now Bernie Ward is the only live talk show in that time slot in California. Wouldn't want to listen to him.
KFI is on half the watts? Funny, because I can still hear it in Sacramento.
I listen to Noory on the way home from work at 12:30 AM, some of his stuff is amusing, but after he gets too deep into the enviro-scare junk and the government conspiracy theories and then puts on a caller that should be in a mental institution,I have to turn it off.
Uh Huh... Uh Huh... Uh Huh...
I wonder how much his standing up for President Bush hurt him in his ratings...
Brother!!! I'm with you on that!!!
Putnam is on Kspa-am 1450 I think out of San Diego and can also be heard live on the net at noon-2:00pm and again at mid-2:00am pst. Go to crni.net or just manually paste thus url http://www.warpradio.com/player/embed.asp/id=13800 in your mediaplayer. I don't know what's up with Bob Dornan since he left radio to run for Congress. I used to like to listen to him also.
