CONTROL OF THE FUTURE THROUGH CONTROL OF THE SCHOOLS

The Humanist Mission of Our Schools.

I think the most important factor leading us to a
secular society has been the educational factor. Our
schools may not teach Johnny to read properly, but the
fact that Johnny is in school until he is 16 tends to
lead toward the elimination of religious superstition.
The average child now acquires a high school education,
and this militates against Adam and Eve and all other
myths of alleged history.

Humanist writer Paul Blanshard.

Extending State Control.

Humanists know that the future of our country rests
with our children. Therefore, in order to control the
future of our country, they must control the minds of
our children. And the easiest way to control our
children is to control the schools.

Radical left-wing writers, including Alexander Cockburn
and James Ridgeway, incessantly rail against
parental "interference" in schools, because, as they
openly acknowledge, "The Left can't survive politically
without a public school system to spread leftist
attitudes."[3]

The New Curriculum.

The future of any nation lies with its youth. So
corrupt them; since religion teaches moral virtue,
erode the churches and divert the young from religion.
Make them interested only in themselves. Get them
involved in drugs, alcohol, and sex. Get them addicted
to privileges and rights.

Vladimir Lenin's "Rule for Revolution" #1.

"Reading, writing and arithmetic" no longer figure
prominently in today's exotic public school curricula.
Children who attend public school will be compelled to
learn the following;

• that homosexuality is a perfectly acceptable
alternative lifestyle;
.....SNIP......

C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man.

Right - so get the taxpayer out of the equation and return education to the private sector where it belongs. Then we can all send our kids wherever we want.

My husband has two friends who are public school teachers. While they talked about ways they would like to see things change, they also said they would not be sending their children -- or future children for one -- to public school. One said she was sending her children to private school. The other said his children would be homeschooled.
While at a teaching supply store I overhead a teacher talking to her colleague. She said she was teaching her students about Famous Americans this year, not the "politically correct crap" that the district wanted her to. She went through state requirements and showed her bosses that she was not supposed to be teaching World History or Studies in the grade she was teaching.

Let's see - my local school district spends $12k a year to educate every child in the district. Could I just have $10k of that to send my kid someplace I'd want her ?

Hello, they're taking YOUR tax money and spending it anyhow. Why do you care where it's spent as long as the kid is getting an education ? Isn't that how public schools started ?

"We are busying providing an education for our children our detractors can't provide"

Hey Skippy, you volunteering to teach the kids of a father who gets killed in Iraq? How about the parentless kids from 911? What do you suggest single mothers do?

I know, not your problem what happens to those kids, it is someone elses job and most likely it will be a public school with your money. God willing, they'll be in a decent school and turn out ok.

"teaching....Famous Americans this year, not the "politically correct crap"

I know several who do that. LOL

It's unfortunate that a teacher would have to send their own child to a non-public school, but who would know better than they where the good schools are?

A lot of politicians do likewise. When Bush tries to offer vouchers so that all students and parents would have a choice, those same politicians are against it!

Your ignorance is profound.

We're actually homeschooling a young girl while her parents get on their feet. And we'll be homeschooling their son as he enters kindergarten next year. There are people who can help, there are resources folks can use, family can help, there are such things as life insurance, churches, private schools, etc.

A gold star. No, wait, that isn't pc anyomore to give student recognition as it might be harmful to the little ego of others. Nahhhhh, here's your star.

"Stop dodging the issue and answer the question in post 194."

My answer is predicated on the answer to my original question....which remains unanswered, by either yourself or the person you obviously feel is incapable of answering for him or herself.

It seems to be a pattern or theme with you or your ilk. You make the broad sweeping assertions then feign some indignity when anyone dares questions you on your understanding of that which YOU asserted. Much easier to snipe and behave like a catty young school girl than to confront the issues directly.

Which, is there a difficulty with the word confront? Perhaps you don't know all of its connotations? Substitute encounter and see if that makes it easier for you to answer. I take it, you do allow your kids out into the world along where they will encounter other people other than those that are home schooled right?

Or the public schools they already pay for?

Speaking of churches....you know some of those in the church are pedophiles? You advocating the sending of children into a potentially harmful environment?

That's what this is all about, isn't it.

Speaking of churches....you know some of those in the church are pedophiles? You advocating the sending of children into a potentially harmful environment?

When you call those who disagree with you homosexuals and you use arguments like the above, you show your true colors.

"The record shows you continually dodge the issue."

Skippy, I asked a question of the person who started the thread. Question #58.

You, acting as the interloper decided to get in on the convesation and rather than answering the question for your bud, got off on a different track.....he seems to have a problem answering a question. For example this excahange.

Question "Mind explaining how the rotten agenda of the leftist is the parents fault??

NON ANSWER "How do you purpose to blame the victims?
"Or are you just being a spokesman for the Left and Satan today?
Your master taught you well!"

Skippy, you familiar with co-dependence and that whole group dynamic? Might want to READ about it. Very self enlightening. :-)

Look at what Dave Tesla wrote ro me. Post #19.
Isn't it interesting to see how people like him think?
They appear to think with their emotions, nothing else. There seems to be flawed logic, at best.
I am just EXTREMEMLY grateful that this poor soul isn't my neighbor, fellow worker, boss or relative. Whew.

It's nice to get REALITY validated from people like you.

The most insidious lesson taught by the public school system is inculcated by its very existence, and that is this: That education is the responsibility of the state. It's not; that's a lie. Education of children is solely the responsibility of the parent or guardian. They can farm out the job to teachers of one kind or another, but they themselves are responsible to see that education happens, and that it is of the right kind.

This is SO on the money correct. It warms, Ah say, it warms the very cockles of mah heart. (Foghorn Leghorn)

Pretty good post......... Although it's darn hard to "preach" one thing in the home.....but be bombarded by something altogether different almost everywhere else. You just hope and pray that you have "poured a good foundation"...and it withstands the wind, and the rain. FRegards,

Thanks.

You are right about the preaching and bombardment.
In the end, kids are kind of a crapshoot. You do your best, but THEY have to walk the walk.
At least, as a parent, you can teach them "the walk."
