CAUTION: MANY PHOTOS. MAY TAKE AWHILE TO DOWNOAD.
PRESIDENTIAL NEWS OF THE DAY: The President and First Lady attended St. John's Church, as has become their routine while in Washington, then returned to the White House. The Vice President and Secretary of Defense appeared on the Sunday morning news interview programs to discuss Iraq and Social Security.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: The President speaking at the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington Feb. 3, 2005.
"This morning reminds us that prayer has always been one of the great equalizers in American life. Here we thank God for his great blessings in one voice, regardless of our backgrounds. We recognize in one another the spark of the Divine that gives all human beings their inherent dignity and worth, regardless of religion.
Through fellowship and prayer, we acknowledge that all power is temporary, and must ultimately answer to His purposes. And we know that affirming this truth is particularly appropriate in the heart of a capital built upon the promise of self-government.
Well - that did it - my eyes are filled with tears again, just like the other night...
Glad you enjoyed them, hoosiermama.
Reeve was invited by a dem to try to shame the President about fetal stem cell research.
I Hope you and all my Fellow Dosers are having a Good Weekend!
Thank you for the ping and the great pix!
Indictments have been handed down in the investigation into Ms. Hillary's senate campaign. Given that she's a Clinton and a Dim, it won't put too much of a dent in her presidential ambitions. But it must be giving her a headache.
Is that a happy person? --or WHAT!
As SOTU speeches go, this one was extraordinary.
But she's sitting in the presidential area, so most will assume she's a guest of the president.....BTW did you see the thread on all the positive progress made with stem cells.....The good ones...from the placenta....No life lost.
Rummy is hilarious sometimes. I just love the man.
I think the finger gets that crooked image because of the way she holds her hand when she waves. She bends it backwards pretty far and when you do that the little finget crinks. Try it. :)
I must say, this is a fantastic dose. Lots of great pictures today :)
I share in your tearful emotions, but also am happy every time I see the smirks and grins on people like GWB, Dick Cheney and Rummy. On my behalf, they are sticking it right in the eye of every scurvy Leftist out there.
I was wrong then?..A dem immediately after the speech hopped right on the fact that poor Dana sat there in vain waiting on Bush to speak about stem cell research. That's why I asumed a dem invited her and I know better than to assume.
It figures. Didn't work, of course. But the Dim minds are, well, dim.
Walked out and showed their big fat behinds while our President stood bravely. Proves he can take it while they tuck their tails and run. Sure sign of cowards.
Hi, annyokie, you're very welcome.
They hate him because he will not let them get away with any spin, partial info, distortion, lie or misquote.
Ah, I didn't think the Swimmer attended. Probably was trying to make his way back to Hyannis withouta boat. So his brother-in-law is a crook. Seems like Ted still hangs around with the same caliber of people his father used to hang with during Prohibition.
