Unlike members of the White House staff who maintain the fiction that resigning was their decision, the executive chef, Walter Scheib 3rd, minced no words Friday in saying he had been fired.
"We've been trying to find a way to satisfy the first lady's stylistic requirements," Mr. Scheib said in a telephone interview, "and it has been difficult. Basically I was not successful in my attempt."

"Mr. Scheib sensed a change afoot, he said, when Cathy Fenton was succeeded as White House social secretary last month by Lea Berman, the wife of Wayne Berman, a wealthy contributor to the Republican Party. Mrs. Berman is a well-known Washington hostess who entertains in a 13000-square-foot Embassy Row mansion."
- These comments look like came from a liberal democrat or NYSlimes. Glad that the Bushes were saved from food-poisoning or something like. Bushes should NEVER trusted this person chosen by Hillary Clinton.

Makes you wonder about the Pretzel incident.

I watched the documentary the first part of December about decorating the White House for Christmas.
They went into the kitchen, where this Chef and his crew were building a huge ginger bread house.
He is a young guy. Tall, thin, glasses, nice looking.
I can't attest for the truth behind this story but just adding what I had watched in this doc. :)

I have always thought there was much more to that....that it wasn't as innocent as reported.

The First Lady is the First Lady. Such issues are her purview. She doesn't have to face reelection, either, and it's time to put her mark on the scene. I'm just curious as to the "style" she prefers. It's obvious she's lost about ten or fifteen pounds--wonder if she's gone locarb?

Mr. Scheib, who studied at the Culinary Institute of America, was hired away from the exclusive Greenbrier resort in West Virginia 11 years ago by Hillary Rodham Clinton, then the first lady. He's been there for over four years cooking for the Bush family. If he can't get it right after four years it's not Laura's fault.

The Clintons probably preferred more grease on their grits than the Bushes do. Messing up a Texans grits is almost as offensive as messin' with Texas.

The guy seems a bit full of himself from his statement. Don't have a chef, but you would think it was his job to satisfy the President not the other way around.

Hillary probably has his FBI file and like so many others who once served Hillary-they have no choice but to still serve her.

Messing up a Texans grits is almost as offensive as messin' with Texas. Texans (and Tennesseans too) are serious about their BBQ. Maybe he just couldn't get it right?

He's 50. LOL! NO WAY!
Well, on the outside looking in, I was impressed. :)
I would have thought he was no older then 35.
