Moves are underway for the creation of an independent GLBT state off the coast of Australia, with plans for the new nation to demand recognition before the United Nations.
Gay and lesbian activists formed the “Gay & Lesbian Kingdom of the Coral Sea Islands” in June last year after the Australian government passed legislation banning same-sex marriage and stripping same-sex couples of civil rights.
The activists are now working on a submission to present to the United Nations that will bring Australia before the International Court of Justice, in order to compel the country to recognize the new state as an independent nation, on the grounds that under the current laws of Australia its gay and lesbian citizens are an “oppressed people, ruled by an overseas colonial power (Australia) and therefore because the Coral Sea Islands are a colony/territory of Australia, inhabited exclusively by the Gay Tribe, by the laws of the United Nations and its charter the Gay Kingdom has the right to self determination.”
The group appear to be serious about creating a new country for GLBT “refugees” worldwide, despite the Coral Sea Islands only possessing a total land area of less than 3 square kilometres. The Gay Government has already issued passports and postage stamps to raise revenue for building infrastructure.
After establishement of this “gay homeland”, it is intended that “our nation will welcome GLBT refugees from around the world like Israel does for Jews”, say organisers.

High School? In califreakin'fornia they are mandated by state law to teach homosexuality clear down to elementary "skool", under the guise of "safety". There is no such thing as "too young" in a recruiting drive of this nature
My next door neighbor for years was also my kid's art teacher. He was pretty openly 'gay', had a live-in 'partner', etc.., but never uttered word number one in the classroom to the kids about his sexual life or 'lifestyle', as far as I ever heard, so we got along fine. Love the sinner and hate the sin. I have sins that he probably doesn't have, and they are between me and my Lord and Savior.

It is a LEARNED behavior and usually is anxiety, and conditioning, triggered and can be 'unlearned". 27% of homos who enter long term counseling for ANY condition come out of that counseling as heterosexuals. Another large percentage gives it up when they find that they can't reconcile their BEHAVIOR with any religions. According to the sites, there was a group of gay and lesbian people that went to the Coral Sea Islands, and in an act of independence and defiance, set the Gay Rainbow Flag from the highest point of Heaven Island and declared the land a kingdom for Gay and Lesbian people of the world. This was in response to recent legislation of the Australian Parliament that bans gay and lesbian relationships and adoption rights.

Maybe it's my imagination, or simply the media hype, but I have sensed, ever since the Dems lost the election, an extremely aggressive backlash from these kind of people for attention. Seems like they're trying to "get even" with the conservatives, by clamoring even harder for acceptance.
Why don't they get the message? They can't make anyone like them. The most anyone can do is leave them alone.
It's like the weird or obnoxious kid wondering why no one will play with him. It seems like they're angry at truth.

It may be true that not all gays are "crazy extremists" -- politically speaking. But the problem is, what about the ones who are?
Why do we have to accept their lifestyle? They asked to be left alone. Fine. We're leaving them alone. But why won't they leave US alone? Why do they keep bothering everybody?
Although your sensitivity to others who are "different" is commendable, I advise you, given your age & general good nature, to keep away from these people. They will confuse you. They themselves are confused.
There might be different causes behind it but homosexuality is a pathology, plain and simple. Those who celebrate a pathology are deluded -- and deluding others.
