Live discussion of the hearings in Chelan County on Dems motions to dismiss the Rossi con test of the governors election. King5.com is streaming live!
Like minds and all that.......
There's a little Barney Fife in her, isn't there?
Besides, I don't like the comment system over there, it's not like FR where you can keep track of the discussion easier.
No.
Just TRY to recall a corrupt official in WA. It's next to impossible.
Well the corruption eventually eats itself or smells so bad that no one can stomach it.
Look at the City Manager-Police Chief suicide murder case a few years ago.
Look at Grasso and the NYSE.
Look at Hawaii turning from blue to red or purple. Linda Lingle became a Republican governor there because the former governor was so corrupt that even the graft network couldn't ignore it.
For the moment I have to admit the state party apparatus has us over a barrel. They tease us with a mirage of democracy, but they don't dare let us taste it for real.
But that was my point in #639. If the legislature provides a remedy which turns out in fact to be impossible, then it's a nullity.
It could then fall on the court to make a determination.
I gotta go to bed. I get to go salmon fishing tomorrow, so I gotta get some sleep before the 4:15 alarm..........goodnight all.
Actually you calrified for me the significance and context vis-a-vis Foulkes of the Judge's ruling today on illegal ballot definition. Thanks.
the lt. Guv is a a rat but more a pubbie than a rat. A dino (democrat in name only ?), He's also 5'6"
He's a half-inch taller than I, so I don't like him already ;)
And WHY would loony Lucy be permitted to post that continuous drivel.
and others--
I'm not saying the votes are of the same type, or the same standard used to note them (they were fraudulent, actually ruled specifically not "illegal") should apply.
What I am saying is that there you had a case that, despite a secret ballot system, the court came to know the identity of the cast ballot in 46 cases. So the RCW by definition cannot be setting an "impossible" standard, since the standard of being able to count illegal votes for one candidate or another was in fact ment.
So, the law, empirically, does not make it impossible to present such ballots as would exist. It only makes it impossible for Rossi, because it seems he does not have them. It may be unfortunate for Rossi, but I don't think it's unfair to him.
I was banned from the comments. I did charge that he had been embarrassed (he helpfully pointed out I misspelled it originally) over the military ballot charge, where his associate asked about the wrong bulk mailing ID for military ballots. I wondered if he had checked out his new King allegations about voters over ballots instead of vice versa, in order not to be embarassed again.
That was that.
Now people can't even link to me in comments.
sorry, typing too quickly. In the 2nd previous post, it should have ended "was in fact met." Some might have thought I intended to type "meant," which I didn't want.
Thanks for the 411.
Sounds like the makings of a good initiative, doesn't it? We're pretty good at those. After this election debacle really sinks in, a recall-reform initiative ought to fly.
I think the Republicans should exhume the dead voters and present them for cross examination.
Sound Politics is interested in building their blog, and selling ads or selling the site in the future....I can't believe they wouldnt let me link FreeRepublic.com after all the play they had here in the past few months.
