Is the Lt. Gov a Democrat?
In any case, with all these phony invalid votes in the election, this has to be declared void, because if the Judge said illegalities aren't a problem in elections, then why bother to ever have elections?

He is going to listen to the Republican side next week and make a decision, probably in their favor, that will go to the Supreme Court. He already said he thought he knew what he would rule.

The bottom line is, if we win, we still petty much get our "revote."
It's just that we have to wait for November, and it will be a brand new election (which is pretty much what I was talking about when I said "revote," anyway).

That simplified the case from 81 parties to four. The remaining parties are the Republicans suing the secretary of state, and the Democrat and Libertarian parties who intervened. Question - which side did the Libertarians intervene on?

The legislature may order a special election, I believe. That's why Rossi started there. He's war gamed this well.
To: steveegg
If they were acting in the intersts of their left-wing libertarian candidate, then they went in on Gregoire/Democrat side more than likely. The Libertarian Party here is nothing but a tool of the rats anyway.

The problem is that between now and November, the 'Rats can do a hell of a lot of damage.
Maybe.
Here's a strategy: contest the election, get a ruling in Rossi's favor. Then, when the 'Rats appeal, make sure it drags out as long as possible so that GregGore is still "governor".
But if The Bitch Who Won't Leave is ultimately tossed out, then perhaps any bills TBWWL signed are as invalid as she is.
This may minimize the damage potential.

Despite the fact he is a Democrat, he would be the rightful heir to the office.

Yeah, I know. I wasn't necessarily complaining about him. I was just answering the question.
The big difference between he and gregoire would be legitimacy.

I think the judge was wrong on the matter of not being permitted to order a special election. will look at the WA constitution over the weekend to analyze it.
I don't think the constitution directly covers this situation in terms orf a vacancy due to an election contest.

"Despite the fact he is a Democrat, he would be the rightful heir to the office."
Was the Lt Govenor elected during this same fraudulent election?

I think it covers it pretty well. It shouldn't matter WHY there is a vacancy. What matters, in the constitution is that there is a vacancy.
I think it's right there in black and white.

Yes, but it is poor that the result of a fraud still would give another party power that should not have been theirs.

I wouldn't put much stock in that scenario working out. Those bills would still have been duly passed by the Legislature. The most you could hope for is any executive orders issued on her authority would be tossed, but I'd put even that at only a 25% chance.
