Live discussion of the hearings in Chelan County on Dems motions to dismiss the Rossi con test of the governors election. King5.com is streaming live!
BTTT!
And check out the stock market...going through the roof...........wow...is Dashole going to be excruciatingly deeply saddened today.
Anyone who doesn't think there will be a revote after this morning needs a dose of reality. My prediction is a unanimous decision in the state supreme court for a re-vote, with 1-3 recusals.
Spot on. I was thinking speedup as well. Looks like the pubbies have some smart lawyers on their side. This is chess and poker all wrapped in one.
I was only a half-dozen steps away from you and JDoutrider and didn't even know it ;'{ (I wuz playin hooky from work and showed up late).
I hope to make a better connection next time!
I bet he's crying all over his living room sofa while watching The Golden Girls reruns.
I gotta run for now and I'm not sure I will be able to take this up again at 1:30. I'll check back later........
Can you provide some insight as to who is who on state supreme and how you think they will view the certain appeal?
Thanks.
I hope you're right, but don't forget that RAT will resort to ANYTHING. Lying, cheating, thieving, vandalism, fraud, and even capital crimes are all in the Liberal playbook.
Lawyers look a lot smarter when they have the law and the facts on their side. To me, all this has been very predictable. i think many of the counties sent deputy prosecutors because the county prosecutors would be too embarassed to make such stupid arguments. Young deputy prosecutors may just be so excited to be a part of the action that they don't realize how stupid they'll look.
What else will be brought up today??
By no means an expert, but my impression is that, generally, if given a solid case that is presented strongly enough, they will likely rule favorably.
That said, if they can find "wiggle room", I am of the opinion that they would avail themselves and vote their fEEEEEEELings.
Not exactly the most comforting notion, is it?
I'll give it a try. The seemingless endless parade of county lawyers each having to contribute their say in this would drag the case down and cause the clock to run out.
But county lawyers are not needed for discovery to go forward.
The poster cnnectthedots also points out that had the pubblies not named counties in the suit, the dem lawyers could petition for dismissal based on all potential parties not being named, basically a mistrial. The lawyers for the Rossi side seem to be very competent.
Lexinom posted some excellent pictures from the rally in Oly, and I discovered that I successfully managed to avoid detection in any of them....
I follow the state supreme court very closely and have read every decision from that court for the past 4-5 years. Gregoire has got to know that there is going to be a re-vote. whe won't admit it, but there is no way for the state supreme court to rule otherwise, especially with all the publicity. If the state supreme court rules against a re-vote, the ridicule it will receive from legal experts across the county will dwarf that of the FL SC in the Bush-Gore case.
There is no wiggle room. Slam dunk for a re-vote.
FReep this poll about the governership recount in Washington.
