Well I guess the young ladies have learned at an early age that no good deed goes unpunished. Know wonder this woman has problem with other neighbors.

She thought perhaps they were burglars or some neighbors she had tangled with in the past, she said. Hmmm...now why am I not surprised that this woman doesn't get along with her neighbors?
"The victory wasn't sweet," Young said Thursday afternoon. "I'm not gloating about it. I just hope the girls learned a lesson."
I'm sure they learned that they should never try to do anything nice.

To modify what Shakespeare once wrote, "Kill all the trial lawyers!" Never mind the lawyers, get the Judge.
That Judge is gonna play hell getting reelected.

"But Wanita Renea Young ended up in the hospital emergency room the next day after suffering a severe anxiety attack she thought might be a heart attack.
A Durango judge Thursday awarded Young almost $900 to recoup her medical bills. She received nothing for pain and suffering."
This is TOTALLY ABSURD. Fire all lawyers and judges!

A real life demonstration of the merging of the Grinch with Ebenezer Scrooge. Miss/Ms/Mrs. Young sounds eternally bitter. What a pathetically cramped person she must be.

The families had offered to pay Young's medical bills if she would agree to indemnify the families against future claims.
Young wouldn't sign the agreement. She said the families' apologies rang false and weren't delivered in person.
Based on her reaction to someone dropping off cookies personally, does she really think anyone in these families would come anywhere near this litigous woman to deliver an apology? She would have sued them for harrassment and had them charged with trespassing.

That biznitch is gonna have her house TPd every night from now til doomsday. And she'll deserve it.

What happened to just accepting an apology. The woman who sued has some serious problems.
However, I agree the girls should not have been out so late at night ringing doorbells and leaving stuff on people's doorsteps without notice. Maybe they should have waited until morning to make their deliveries. Even so, I wouldn't sue them for it. I wonder how selfish, paranoid, and vengeful one has to be to teach these young ladies an expensive, stressful lesson in good manners by suing them and their families?

When I was younger, I heard of some kids who would leave a bag of something unpleasant on the porch, and then light it on fire so that when the homeowner came out they'd start stomping on the bag.
But I would never do anything like that, nor would I condone such actions......

Yes, my sentiments exactly. The judge should be thrown out of office for not dismissing this case or throwing it out before it began. What an idiot. What kind of fool gets terrified of a knock on the door at 10:30? Has anyone here ever had a knock on the door that late or later? I had cops coming beating on my door by mistake at 12:00 midnight, should I have sued for damages? What a bunch of idiots, judge, lawyer and plantiff.

This woman is just out for vindictive revenge and cash. And the court system is allowing her to do this. Pathetic. Poor kids. They definitely should have skipped this selfish, nutcase neighbor's house.

And if the girls had delivered the letters in person, would that have precipitated another trip to the emergency room.

But Young, home with her own 18-year-old daughter and her elderly mother, said she saw shadowy figures who banged and banged at her door. Most unlit figures are "shadowy" at night.
Young said she believes that the girls should not have been running from door to door late at night. "Something bad could have happened to them," she said.
Something bad did happen to them, b!+@#. You.
