You go, George.
I used to have my doubts, but now I am sort of wondering if the second George Bush might turn out--in history, a long time from now--as one of the most significant presidents in American history.

What a classy act, that Iraqi woman hugging the Mother of the Marine that was killed on the assault on Fallujha...
It looked like she gave her some dog tags. I wonder if those were her son's.
Yep, Fox just confirmed she did give her son's dog tags to her. Damn, that's heart wrenching.
He was so Self Confident optimistic and REAlistic. Plain and simple, theres no Double talk from Dubya.
His delivery has improved too. It was a very well delivered speech.
Well....that was wonderful. Tears were flowing when that Iraqi lady embraced the slain soldiers mom. WOW!
Incredibly, heart wrenching...
I thought the Prez was an educated guy. Flew jets and all, and he doesn't consider the logistics, maintenance, cost and danger of high pressure or cryogenic hydrogen propelled down the road at 75mph by ordinary folks? I agree with the rest of what he had to say, but this was too much.
Excellent speech. I refuse to watch the dumb and dumber show following. I love my country and our President. Couldn't have been better, except to empty the hall of all Democrats. Their disrespect was very UnAMERICAN!
Why has Bush and Congress allowed federal spending (even without Defense factored in) to balloon way out of control, and WAY over inflation increase for Bush's first four years and throughout Clinton's term?
Mr. Bush, your speech was darn good, but it is hard to trust your goal of "restraining spending" when you have presided over galactic sized increases for four years (again, even without Defense factored in.
All bark, no bite, for the last four years, Mr. President.
"We are the Music Makers
We are the dreamers of dreams,
Happy in God's green acres,
Contented with pastoral scenes,
World Losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon beams,
We are the Music Makers,
We are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea breakers
And sitting by desolate streams.
Though far from ambitious King-makers
And their elaborate schemes,
Yet We are the movers and shakers
Of the World, forever, It seems.
With wonderful, deathless ditties
We built up the World's great cities;
And out of the Fabulous story We fashioned an Empire's Glory!
One Man, with a tune, at leisure,
Shall go forth and conquer a Crown,
And three, with a new song's measure
Can trample an Empire down!
We, in the Ages, lying,
In the buried past of the Earth
Built Nineveh with our sighing,
And Babel Itself with our Mirth,
Destroyed them with prophesying
To the old, of the New World's worth,
For each Age is an Age that is dying,
Or one that is coming to Birth."
Not to overly criticize; after all, can anyone here imagnie how dreadful a Kerry State Of The Union would be??
my gosh, i'm stuck here at work and did not see this act of honor and respect.
it may have been just as well, your words made me swell with pride for what we have done and cry for the image you just described.
