Ran off the runway. It crossed Route 46, which is a major roadway. Fox 5 just said several accidents on Route 46 as a result.

Sounds like he tried to abort the takeoff..couldn't stop it...

Valet parking gone bad?
Probably going to fast and didn't hit the brakes quick enough.
Or there's ice conditions that they weren't expecting.

I hope everyone is OK. Teterboro is a very busy airport for corporate and private jets.

Wild speculation here: laser blinding? It happened in that area before.

No.it was an aborted take-off..he ran out of runway trying to stop..may have been the "best" of a bad group of options.

UPDATED: 7:41 am EST February 2, 2005 TETERBORO, N.J. -- A plane has slammed into a building after going off the runway at Teterboro Airport.
It appears the private jet broke through a fence and skidded across Route 46 into the building.

Maybe, depends.
An aborted takeoff, but what caused the aborted takeoff to begin with?
Ken, see post 11.
Possible cause for abort?
