I say let's look at their perception of good vs. evil in terms of it's practical results.

Were they in favor of standing up to the global expansion of marxist dictatorship in the 70's? No.

Were they in favor of the rollback of marxism in the late 1980's? No, and they were by and large ambivalent about the fall of the Soviet Union.

Were they willing to do what was truly necessary to stop genocide in Somalia and Rwanda in the 1990's? No.

Are they willing to stop Islamic terrorism in the 00's? Again, no.

I therefore re-posit Mr. Prager's initial query. What good are they?

The American leftists are all cowards at heart. It isn't that they oppose fundamentalism; if that was the case they'd have opposed Mohammedanism. Yeah you just reminded me of the documentary I saw on Rwanda, last night, Romeo D'Allaire, the Canadian UN Commander in Rwanda at the time said he had an opportunity to go and raid and scoop up all the arms caches of the Hutus, he knew exactly where they were, and he knew they were planning on massacring the Tutsis (or vice versa, whatever and to his utter astonishment, the UN said no, they were concerned about needless bloodshed or words to that effect - D'Allaire went on to have a breakdown as he watched the slaughter helplessly. The UN personfies evil.

Now if it had been General Lew McKenzie the other infamous Canadian UN commander, in the former Yugoslavia, he would have said, fuck the UN and gone in and gotten those caches and worried about the repercussions later.......

They tried to get Lew to run for Prime Minister to no avail.

Wow, that's very inciteful. They aren't even consistent with their declared ideology.

One would therefore conclude that the Left is suicidal (which fits with their views on abortion, euthanasia, and suicide). That means they are literally nuts.
